We believe that elegant speaker design need not come at the expense of sound quality. That’s why we have poured all of our material expertise into creating an aluminium cabinet that makes no concessions: neither acoustically nor visually. Slim, expertly crafted side panels connect to the WrapAround front, which extends gracefully beyond the speaker face, seamlessly blending into the cabinet through a subtle, beveled transition. The sleek form, rendered in hand-brushed aluminium, turns each speaker into a statement piece that nonetheless integrates elegantly into any environment.

Design & Construction

The design language of the Talis speakers bridges two eras of T+A’s aesthetic: where their predecessors embodied “timeless reduction,” the new Talis models now embody our “classical modernity.” Black drivers either harmonize with a black front baffle or create a striking contrast against the silver aluminium enclosure. The WrapAround Baffle extends the baffle’s clean line into the side panels, where a nearly invisible bevel leads into the tapered sides. This thoughtful dimensioning gives the Talis speakers a sculptural, slender form that conceals the impressive internal volume within.
Hand-brushed aluminium surfaces lend each Talis speaker a distinctive texture, combining the artisanal quality of an individually crafted piece with the precision of high-end serial production. The entire internal structure has been meticulously engineered to maximise the acoustic volume within the compact dimensions of just 105 cm x 21 cm x 28 cm, offering over 55 litres of internal space for sound generation. A precision-milled chamber system creates airtight compartments for the bass and midrange drivers, effectively eliminating any structural vibrations before they can arise.

StarStabilizer & AudiophileLinearity

In the Talis S 330, just four drivers are responsible for creating a stunning soundstage. A single midrange driver, with its exceptional dynamism and vibrancy, brings the entire vocal range to life with astonishing naturalness. The newly developed tweeter features a reinforced yet ultra-responsive magnesium membrane with a special coating that eliminates high-frequency resonances often found in other metal domes. This tweeter’s exceptional impulse response, free of any harshness or sharpness, cleanly reproduces frequencies up to 50 kHz, ensuring a pure, high-frequency range that remains comfortable to listen to for hours on end. Together with the StarStabilizer midrange driver, this design produces an impressively large soundstage that seems to detach entirely from the speaker.
In the bass range, two 17 cm high-performance woofers deliver energy with pinpoint precision, thanks to perfectly matched resonance frequencies. Their powerful magnets, large voice coils, and specially designed long-throw suspension allow for high sound levels even at the deepest frequencies, with no distortion and excellent transient response.
Our unique cone drivers, featuring innovative StarStabilizer membrane systems, boast two defining characteristics. Every component’s design has been meticulously calculated to create an unparalleled sound performance. A star-shaped central reinforcement in each driver suppresses potential resonances and natural modes at the source, ensuring flawless, piston-like movement of the membranes even under extreme conditions. This results in reproduction of the amplifier’s signal in its purest form, free from any unwanted interference.

Drive Units

To deliver the perfect T+A sound experience, all Talis speakers are equipped with our revolutionary double-sided Fast Signal Response (FSR) three-way crossovers, which are the key to the Talis speakers' unparalleled sound reproduction. Thanks to a specially developed mass layer, each crossover can handle even the most powerful impulses and highest currents without any distortion. This design achieves impeccable transient response and top-tier signal fidelity, grounded in precise technical calculations.
Every nuance and detail of a musical piece is rendered with effortless precision. The filter stages and band-passes of our FSR crossovers are meticulously coordinated to ensure optimal phase and group delay, providing exceptional audio fidelity.
To preserve signal integrity to the smallest detail, specialised cables connect each speaker driver. Furthermore, the careful separation of the circuit boards for bass and mid-high frequencies allows for optimal bi-amping or bi-wiring configurations, making the Talis speakers an ideal choice for audiophiles and all those who demand uncompromising sound quality.

Baffle

At T+A, we believe design must always serve the purity of sound: only when an aesthetic enhances the faithful reproduction of music does it earn its place in a T+A product. The T+A WrapAround Baffle, exclusive to the Talis speaker series, elevates this philosophy, gracefully embracing the entire front baffle and flowing seamlessly into the cabinet body at precisely calculated points along the side panels. No visible screws or fasteners mar its pristine surface, as all drivers and mounts are discreetly anchored within, preserving an uninterrupted and refined exterior.
Acoustically, this evolution of the T+A Organic Baffle protects even the shortest high-frequency wavelengths from causing the slightest, yet perceptible, colourations. The result is an unblemished mid- and high-frequency response, undisturbed by interference, allowing every note and nuance to be experienced in its most unadulterated form, pure and resonant.
