Pros
Deep, controlled bass with genuine sub-40Hz extension eliminates the need for a separate subwoofer in many systems.
Seamless driver integration delivers natural midrange detail, refined AMT highs and no evident crossover harshness.
Exceptional dynamic headroom and a vast, immersive soundstage handle delicate acoustic music and large-scale material with ease.
Cons
Its substantial bass output and rear-ported design need generous room placement; smaller rooms can become bass-heavy.
The low-frequency impedance can dip to 2 ohms, so a capable amplifier is preferable to a budget receiver.

What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 96/100
Reviewers describe a genuinely full-range, high-authority loudspeaker that combines exceptionally deep bass with refined, cohesive upper registers. Its presentation is repeatedly praised as natural, seamless and involving, with the scale and composure to handle both intimate music and large orchestral material.
Bass
98/100
The dual 12-inch bass system earns unusually emphatic praise for extension, impact and control. Audioholics says a subwoofer is unnecessary and highlights deep sub-40Hz output, while Dagogo reports some of the deepest synth bass in its collection without sacrificing integration; Adrian likewise found the prodigious output tight, textured and never sluggish or overpowering.
Mid
95/100
The midrange is widely described as seamless, natural and highly resolving. Audioholics could not detect crossover-region breakup or harshness, while Dagogo singles out symphonic strings and palpable cello and bass presence; HomeTheaterHifi found the tonal balance completely neutral.
Treble
92/100
The AMT-based treble is praised for its refinement, air and lack of listening fatigue. Dagogo heard stress-free highs with a convincing balance of string bite and body, and HomeTheaterHifi found no harshness, although Adrian considered the very top end somewhat more closed-in than some alternatives.
Soundstage Imaging
95/100
Reviewers consistently hear a large, stable and immersive stage. Dagogo reports greater focus and a wider sweet spot than a reference panel speaker, Audioholics calls the stage incredibly vast, and Adrian praises rock-solid imaging that creates a convincing in-room presence.
Dynamics
97/100
Dynamic capacity is one of the Focus SE's defining strengths. Dagogo cites vast dynamic authority and walloping dynamics, while Audioholics found the speakers would not bottom out even under extreme amplifier drive and were equally convincing with delicate and large-scale music.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
93/100
The cabinet work receives direct praise for precise joins, attractive finish and high-quality woodworking. Dagogo also notes the robust construction, stable adjustable feet and finely machined bi-wire binding posts, supporting its impression of a substantial, carefully executed loudspeaker.
Value for Money
94/100
Although the current listed price range is $15,000-$18,000 per pair, reviewers regard the Focus SE as unusually competitive among high-end full-range speakers. HomeTheaterHifi called its sound quality versus price potentially a best buy, while Dagogo described Legacy as a stupendous American-built value and suggested the Focus SE could credibly sell for far more.
