What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 93/100
The K3 is described as an expressive, highly musical floorstander that favours cohesion, fluidity and emotional communication over strict studio-style analysis. It combines substantial scale and rhythmic drive with impressive low-level nuance, provided it is carefully positioned and partnered with a capable amplifier.
Bass
94/100
What Hi-Fi praises the K3's powerful yet taut and tuneful low end, with basslines remaining articulate and well integrated even on demanding electronic material. Its generous output needs room around it: placing the speakers too close to a wall can allow the bass to overpower the rest of the presentation.
Mid
92/100
Vocals are said to have pleasing body and communicate emotion clearly, including on Eminem's fast-paced delivery. The overall voicing adds a touch of vocal warmth rather than pursuing strict tonal neutrality, reinforcing the K3's inviting and expressive character.
Treble
90/100
The ribbon tweeter is praised for its transparency, while the speaker's handling of piano decay and small changes in instrumental intensity is described as exceptionally delicate. There is some extra liveliness at the top end, and poor recordings can sound unforgiving through this revealing tweeter.
Soundstage Imaging
93/100
With careful placement, the K3 produces an expansive yet focused stereo image with notable depth and stability. What Hi-Fi specifically highlights the convincing way it populates large-scale recordings, though setup precision makes a meaningful difference.
Dynamics
95/100
The K3 is particularly strong with large dynamic swings, delivering real heft, authority and composure at high levels when driven by a suitable amplifier. It also retains life, rhythmic momentum and musical involvement at low volume, making it well suited to both late-night listening and full-scale sessions.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
90/100
Reviewers describe a rigid, well-controlled foundation for the drive units, suggesting cabinet construction designed to support clean performance. The styling is understated rather than showy, but the available finishes are considered classy.
Value for Money
85/100
At a listed price range of $12,980 to $22,825, the K3 sits in a serious premium-floorstander market alongside many accomplished rivals. The review strongly recommends its musical performance, but does not directly assess whether it represents especially strong value against competing speakers at the asking price.

Manufacturer's Description — ProAc Loudspeakers
For our more compact floor-standing K Series speaker, the K3, a specific Kevlar drive unit needed to be developed.
This driver works higher into the midrange frequencies and benefits from better detail and dispersion due to the incorporation of a phase plug.
Two of these drive units are used with our ribbon tweeter placed centrally in our K constructed cabinet. A high-quality crossover was specially designed for the K3 to seamlessly mate with the ribbon tweeter. The crossover uses high quality components and is split for bi-wiring.
As far as sound quality goes the K3 has a wonderfully electrostatic type of midrange which is very clear and detailed, with a dynamic bass response.
The K3 is designed for our customers who want a compact speaker that can deliver a powerful sound with ease, such as full orchestral music or loud rock.
