2. Why the new name?

   We outgrew the old one.

   HiFi Hub better reflects what the platform does — a central hub for the high-fidelity audio world — and makes it easier for newcomers to understand what they're walking into, whether they're lifelong enthusiasts or just starting to explore better sound.

3. Is it free to browse?

   Yes — Searching for products, exploring brands, reading content, and browsing Used Deals is completely free.

4. How does geo-localization work?

   HiFi Hub uses your location to surface nearby dealers, regional availability, and locally relevant results.

   When you search for a product or dealer, results are prioritized based on proximity — so you see what's actually accessible to you.

   No account is required; location is detected automatically and can be adjusted manually at any time by searching for a city or address, or by navigating directly on the interactive map.

5. How are products ranked?

   Search results are geo-localized and relevance-driven.

   Paid placements are clearly labeled and do not alter the relevance-based ranking of organic results.

6. Do you feature product reviews?

   Yes — HiFi Hub aggregates professional reviews from trusted publications, reviewers, and creators across the HiFi ecosystem.

   User reviews are planned for a future community release.

7. What is Watt'n Potatoes?

   Watt'n Potatoes is HiFi Hub's professional review aggregation system. Each expert review contributes to a product's Potato Score — a quick signal of reputation, build quality, and performance based on industry consensus.

   A future version will expand into a broader community reputation system.

8. What is the Used Deals section?

   Used Deals is HiFi Hub's marketplace for used, demo, open-box, and clearance audio equipment.

   Listings come from two sources: inventory aggregated from major platforms like eBay, Audiogon, and US Audio Mart, and listings published directly by HiFi Hub dealer members.

   Browsing Used Deals is always free.

9. Do purchases happen on HiFi Hub?

   No — HiFi Hub is a discovery platform. When you're ready to buy, each listing links directly to the dealer or brand's website where you can complete your purchase.

10. Who is HiFi Hub for on the merchant side?

    • Dealers — Appear in regional searches, list used inventory, and drive traffic to your store.

    • Brands — Showcase your catalog, publish updates, understand demand signals, and access analytics dashboards.

    • Distributors — Activate Brand Analytics Packs for the brands you represent, receive an Official Distributor Badge, and access site-wide and brand-level insights.

11. Why does the industry need HiFi Hub?

    The HiFi industry is highly fragmented — information is scattered across brand websites, retailers, forums, and reviewers.

    Dealer Membership → $800/year — regional listing, priority placement in local searches, Used Deals publishing, and analytics.

    Brand Membership → $800/year — catalog listing, brand profile, priority placement in search results, Update Hubs, and analytics.

    Distributor Membership → from $800/year — Official Distributor Badge, Update Hubs on associated brand pages, and analytics per pack. Every fifth Brand Analytics Pack is free.

    Businesses operating in multiple roles receive 50% off their second and third memberships.

14. Do you offer paid advertising?

15. Do merchants receive analytics?

    Yes — All paid merchants receive a monthly site-wide dashboard, plus role-specific dashboards: Brands and Distributors get brand-level dashboards (per Brand Analytics + for Distributors); Dealers get local market dashboards for their region.

16. How reliable are the analytics dashboards?

    Our dashboards are built from aggregated activity across HiFi Hub, including page views, clicks, location signals, and traffic patterns.

    They are designed to surface clear monthly trends and demand signals — giving you a consistent, structured view of your performance each reporting period.

17. Where does product and merchant information come from?

    Product information is collected from brand websites and other verified sources.

    Brand, dealer, and distributor information is reviewed through onboarding, merchant websites, and location data before appearing on the platform.

    If something looks incorrect, users and merchants can report it and our team will review it.

18. What's your privacy policy?

    HiFi Hub complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other major privacy regulations.

    We never sell user data. Analytics are aggregated and anonymized.
