Revel F328Be
The Revel F328Be is the flagship floorstanding loudspeaker from our award-winning PerformaBe series. The F328Be includes a 1-inch (25mm) beryllium tweeter driven by massive 85mm dual ceramic magnets. The powerful all-new tweeter and 6th-generation ceramic-coated, cast-aluminum Acoustic Lens waveguide seamlessly integrate with the directivity of the companion midrange driver resulting in greater efficiency, improved dynamic range, reduced distortion, and increased power handling compared to aluminum or titanium tweeters.
Beryllium - Element 4 on the Periodic Table - is a rare earth metal that is renowned for its remarkable physical properties that make it the ideal material for a high-frequency transducer. Compared to aluminum and titanium tweeter diaphragms, Beryllium offers 4.5 times the stiffness and three times more damping, and does so at only half of the weight. Beryllium tweeters are the centerpiece of the Revel PerformaBe loudspeaker series.
The 5.25-inch (130mm) midrange and triple 8-inch (200mm) aluminum cone woofers utilize Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC) cones for improved performance. DCC is a plasma electrolytic oxidation process that uses a plasma discharge to create a coarse ceramic coating on both sides of the aluminum core. The deep ceramic layers sandwiching the aluminum core provide constrained layer damping that push cone breakup modes outside of the passband allowing the driver to maintain ideal pistonic motion throughout its range. DCC cones combine with optimized motor magnetics to deliver improved mid- and low-frequency performance.
PerformaBe crossover networks utilize all film capacitors and air core inductors in the midrange and tweeter circuits. These premium components allow Revel's world-class engineers to extract nuances and details from music that would otherwise be lost. Combined with traditional Revel high-order crossover slopes and proprietary Acoustic Lens waveguide geometry, transducer integration is seamless.
F328Be top panels are painted in stylish metallic black with raised electroform badging. The loudspeakers are available in a choice of four high-gloss finishes for seamless integration into any décor: Black, White, Walnut, and Silver.

The Revel F328Be pairs an imposing three‑woofer cabinet with a 1" beryllium dome and 6th‑gen acoustic lens to deliver an effortless, room‑filling presentation with big soundstage, taut, detailed lows and a refined treble. Reviewers like Carlo Lo Raso and Edgar Kramer praise its clean bass and seamless imaging.
Pros
- 1" beryllium tweeter with acoustic lens and 6th‑gen waveguide yields extended, detailed highs with low harshness.
- Three 8" Deep Ceramic Composite woofers and rear ports deliver deep, controlled bass and large‑scale dynamics that often eliminate the need for a subwoofer.
- Engineered directivity and tight driver integration produce precise imaging and an expansive, stable soundstage both on‑ and off‑axis.
&
Cons
- Measured impedance can sit closer to 4 ohms than the nominal 8Ω, so the F328Be demands robust amplification for best performance.
- Very large and heavy (over 50 kg each): needs ample room, careful placement and handling.
- Premium price and positioning mean they’re best suited to buyers with space and high‑end electronics.
Sound Quality
95/100
Bass
96/100
Triple 8" woofers and rear reflex ports deliver deep, authoritative bass; reviewers note extension down to the mid-20Hz region and said a subwoofer is often unnecessary. While one comparison (Salon2) digs slightly deeper, multiple reviews praise the F328Be's slam, control and room-filling low-end authority.
Mid
95/100
Consistently lauded for vocal clarity, timbral accuracy and seamless driver integration; reviewers described superb intelligibility and coherent hand-off between mid and tweeter. Multiple reviewers highlighted natural, detailed midrange presentation on voices and instruments.
Treble
94/100
New 1" beryllium dome with acoustic lens/waveguide yields refined, extended and detailed highs without harshness. Reviews report smooth, linear treble with good sparkle when appropriate and improved continuity with the midrange.
Soundstage Imaging
95/100
Reviewers praised excellent image focus, immense stage depth and stable, well-layered presentation; instruments and vocals occupy distinct, believable positions. The waveguide/directivity work contributes to even off-axis performance and wide, realistic soundscapes.
Dynamics
95/100
Reports of strong macro- and micro-dynamics, impressive slam and headroom—"big music in a big way"—with little sign of compression at high levels. Tweeter motor and driver control also cited as resisting power compression, supporting transient authority.

Build Quality
95/100
Heavy, well-braced cabinets, cast-frame DCC drivers and substantial motor structures noted; reviewers call the engineering and finish excellent. Cabinet shape and internal damping techniques were highlighted as contributing to measured performance.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive tower baseline applied; dual gold-plated binding posts with shorting straps support bi-wire/bi-amp but passive baseline score retained per rules.
Value for Money
84/100
High-end price point (various region prices cited in reviews) but reviewers generally consider performance commensurate with cost—well engineered and long-lived. Not positioned as bargain value versus less expensive rivals, but seen as a justified premium for accuracy and capability.
