The control and dynamics of this high-end all-in-one streamer give it real authority, with reviewers from HiFi News, SoundStage Solo, and StereoNET United Kingdom praising its grip, spacious imaging, and vivid musical flow. The result is a polished, muscular performer that makes demanding speakers sound effortless.

&
Cons
Very expensive, and several reviewers question whether the premium over the standard Nova or cheaper alternatives is justified for all buyers.
Its presentation can lean slightly hard or analytical compared with warmer alternatives, especially on vocals.
It is less forgiving of compressed or low-resolution source material than some rivals.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 94/100
Reviewers consistently describe the Nova PE as highly resolving, with a black background, strong separation, and a very immediate, lively presentation. The tone is mostly neutral to slightly on the harder side rather than warm and lush, but it also gets praised for body, natural flow, and strong musical engagement.
Transparency Resolution
95/100
Reviewers repeatedly call out deep detail, clarity, and a dead-quiet or black background. Simon Lucas notes that it can distinguish complex recordings with ease, while Roger Kanno describes vocals emerging distortion-free from a dead-quiet black background.
Tonal Balance Musicality
91/100
The amp is described as carefully neutral, with warmth and body where needed, but also a slight tendency toward hardness in some vocals. Even so, reviewers consistently praise its musicality, pace, and ability to keep performances engaging rather than clinical.
Dynamics
97/100
This is one of the Nova PE’s standout strengths. Reviewers repeatedly praise its power, grip, headroom, and effortless delivery with demanding loudspeakers, with phrases like massive reserves of energy, dynamic shove, and iron grip appearing across the coverage.
Soundstage Imaging
93/100
The Nova PE is credited with a spacious, well-defined, and coherent soundstage, plus strong image stability even in complex passages. Several reviewers mention expansive width and convincing depth, though the emphasis is more on control and coherence than on ultra-holographic layering.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
92/100
Reviewers consistently praise the brushed aluminium chassis, the substantial 15.1kg feel, and the well-finished volume control and lighting. They also note the dense, brick-like construction and internal dual-power-supply arrangement, though there is little detailed discussion of long-term durability beyond the premium feel.
Features Connectivity
95/100
This is a very richly equipped all-in-one. Reviewers mention HDMI ARC, multiple analogue and digital inputs, USB storage support, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, UPnP, multiroom, Party Mode, app control, remote control, and a built-in DAC, making it exceptionally flexible.
Value for Money
86/100
Reviewers acknowledge that it is very expensive and repeatedly frame it as a serious luxury purchase. Still, they argue that it delivers a convincing premium one-box solution, especially if you need the power and control to drive demanding speakers; the value case is stronger for the right system than for casual streaming use.
