CL3/FT4 In-Wall & Direct Burial Rated Bulk Speaker Cable

SLiP XTRM 14/4 takes everything that makes our in-wall cables so attractive to installers—the super-slippery, easy-to-pull CL3/FT4-rated jacket with easy-to-read feet and meter markers—and adds extreme AudioQuest performance: A carefully finessed combination of Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) and Long-Grain Copper (LGC) affords performance approaching that of the purer PSC, but at a much lower cost. In addition, True-Concentric Conductor Technology, a more sophisticated form of our Semi-Solid Concentric geometry, significantly improves clarity and resolution by further minimizing the distortion caused by strand interaction. The net result is simply the highest performing, easiest-to-install CL3/FT4-certified line of speaker cables in the business!

Key Features & Technology Explained

True Concentric Conductors

Compared to Semi-Solid Concentric Conductors, True-Concentric further reduces strand-interaction, resulting in lower distortion and improved resolution.

PSC and LGC Metal

A carefully finessed combination of our high-purity Long-Grain Copper and higher-purity Perfect-Surface Copper conductors minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries.

Directionality

All internal conductors are Direction-Controlled to reduce RF noise.

Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) & Long-Grain Copper (LGC) Conductors

This cable uses a carefully finessed combination of Long-Grain Copper (LGC) and extremely high-purity Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC). LGC has fewer oxides within the conducting material, less impurities, less grain boundaries and definitively better performance. The astonishingly smooth and pure PSC further eliminates harshness and greatly increases clarity.

True Concentric Conductors

While Semi-Solid Concentric conductors use fewer, larger strands that do not change position down the length of the cable, True-Concentric conductor technology pushes this concept even further by spiraling each successive layer of strands in the direction opposite to the one beneath it. Because this arrangement places more contact pressure at the points of contact, rather than lines of contact, the overall strand interaction is meaningfully reduced. The net sonic result is lower distortion, improved resolution, and greatly reduced harshness and confusion.
