MoFi Electronics UltraDeck Turntable
ULTRADECK
The word “Ultra” is synonymous with Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's philosophy. It represents our extreme pursuit of the highest level of reproduction of recorded sound—beyond the status quo—to provide music lovers with the experience of hearing the Original Master Recording in their home. Whether you're enjoying a standard LP or one of our UltraDisc One-Step limited-edition records, UltraDeck will deliver faithful playback of what's in the grooves.
METICULOUS DESIGN AND EVALUATION
Advanced technology, user-friendly features, and unflappable design elements ensure phenomenal playback—ultimately bringing the sound of Mobile Fidelity’s famous studio into your home.
ULTRA TONEARM
Custom-developed and manufactured in the USA, the 10-inch Ultra tonearm uses smooth, high-quality ball bearings for low friction in the vertical and horizontal plane so all you hear is what is in the grooves. Cardas Audio wiring maintains signal purity from the headshell leads all the way through to the high-quality, gold-plated RCA connectors.
ISOLATED AC SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR
Our stepped-pulley AC motor provides excellent speed stability for pitch accuracy and rhythmic drive. The Delrin® pulley has two positions for 33 1/3 and 45 RPM speed selection. Motor vibrations are kept away from the platter and stylus by using advanced dampening materials that decouple the motor from the rest of the turntable.
CONSTRAINED LAYER DAMPENING
UltraDeck features three aluminum plates carefully bonded to an MDF body to add mass and eliminate tonal coloration, maintaining the true sound found on the record.
ANTI-VIBRATION FEET BY HRS
Any vibration of the stylus that is not created by the grooves in the record is a distortion that will mask musical detail. Developed in conjunction with the engineering team at Harmonic Resolution Systems, the world leader in vibration isolation for audio equipment, the included MoFi anti-vibration feet isolate your turntable from bad vibrations.
1.3-INCH DELRIN® PLATTER
UltraDeck features a massive 1.3-inch Delrin® platter. The increased mass creates blacker sonic backgrounds and a lower noise floor. Delrin® is a next-generation polymer developed by Dupont. In the world of audio, Delrin's® highly crystalline structure presents a wonderful impedance match to vinyl records, effectively grounding unwanted noise and keeping it away from the stylus.
HARDENED-STEEL INVERTED BEARING
Our hardened-steel inverted bearing system is designed for smooth, quiet rotational stability. The extremely low tolerance combination of steel, bronze, and sapphire—found in much more expensive turntables—will provide you many years of high-performance playback.

The UltraDeck brings vinyl to life with fluid musicality, visceral dynamics and an impressively quiet background. Future Audiophile found its timing, detail and effortless presentation deeply involving, while Audiophilepure praised spacious imaging, lifelike vocals and confident composure. A substantial, beautifully engineered deck with serious analogue refinement.
What Reviewers Are Saying

Cons
VTA adjustment is fully manual and lacks a precise dial-calibrated mechanism.
The power switch sits beneath the parked stylus area, creating a potential risk when operating it.
The reviewed sample measured slightly slow at 32.6 RPM, despite sounding rhythmically correct.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 92/100
The UltraDeck is consistently described as an engaging, fluid and highly resolved source, with strong dynamics, convincing timing and a notably quiet backdrop. Reviewers also praise its ability to preserve vocal realism, instrumental separation and composure as recordings become more demanding.
Overall Sound
95/100
Future Audiophile found the presentation fun, energetic and effortless, with excellent detail, superior dynamics and a strong sense of pace and rhythm. Audiophilepure was equally enthusiastic about midrange clarity, lifelike vocals, spacious imaging and composure that it considered difficult to better at any price.
Speed Stability
88/100
A platter-speed app found both speeds broadly accurate, although the review sample measured slightly slow at 32.6 RPM. Crucially, the reviewer heard no sense of sluggishness or pitch-related distraction, finding music sounded correct and rhythmically assured.
Tonearm Performance
89/100
The supplied 10-inch gimballed arm uses low-friction ball bearings and was described as smooth and effortless in operation. Its conventional gimballed arrangement should also appeal to listeners who prefer it to a unipivot design.
Noise Isolation
93/100
The motor is decoupled with damping materials intended to prevent vibration reaching the arm and cartridge. In use, the reviewer reports hearing no motor sound at all, whether the platter was turning or not.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
90/100
Future Audiophile calls the UltraDeck fabulously well made and says it conveys a clear sense of craftsmanship. The deck is also described as sleek in appearance, while its substantial Delrin platter and decoupled motor arrangement support its purposeful construction.
Features Usability
82/100
This is a straightforward, performance-led manual deck rather than a convenience-focused turntable, with 33⅓ and 45 RPM operation and an included 10-inch tonearm. The reviewer found it simple to set up and operate, but there is no reported phono stage, automation or digital connectivity.
Value for Money
95/100
At roughly $2,299 to $2,744, Future Audiophile calls the UltraDeck a tremendous value for analogue-capable systems and highlights excellent resale prospects. Audiophilepure judged its clarity, scale and composure difficult to better at this—or any—price.
