The Bryston 28B Cubed delivers bottomless dynamics, iron-fisted speaker control, and a revealingly neutral voice. TONEAudio MAGAZINE found its immense reserves bring startling bass weight and fine instrumental texture to speakers large or small, while Audiophilepure praised its deep, articulate bass and fatigue-free refinement. This is formidable high-end power with genuine finesse.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Pros
Colossal power reserves provide exceptional dynamic swing, firm control, and strain-free drive with demanding loudspeakers.
Deep, well-articulated bass improves the scale and low-frequency authority of both compact and full-range speakers.
Neutral tonal balance combines clear, sweet mids and treble with fatigue-free long-session listening.
Hand-built, exceptionally robust construction and Bryston’s long-term dependability strengthen its ownership value.
&
Cons
Its neutral, controlled presentation may not suit listeners seeking an overtly warm or ultra-romantic tube-like sound.
The 93-pound chassis and extreme output demand careful installation; dedicated power lines are advisable for high-level use.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 94/100
Reviewers describe a notably neutral, faithful and fatigue-free presentation, supported by clear, sweet midrange and treble reproduction. Its standout trait is seemingly inexhaustible power delivery, combining deep articulated bass with exceptional control and a convincing sense of musical ease.
Transparency Resolution
94/100
TONEAudio says the amplifiers let listeners hear fine textural details, including fingers moving across guitar frets and the contrasting character of acoustic and electric bass. Audiophilepure likewise describes a clear yet sweet midrange, with high frequencies that remain easy to hear over long sessions.
Tonal Balance Musicality
94/100
Audiophilepure found the 28B Cubed very neutral, with bass, midrange and treble evenly balanced in level. The same review praises its sweet midrange and treble, reporting no listening fatigue during extended use.
Dynamics
97/100
TONEAudio calls out the colossal power supply for dynamics and control that very few amplifiers can match, praising its ability to accelerate instantly and decay just as quickly. Audiophilepure found ample reserve power and firm speaker control without strain, even with difficult MartinLogan electrostatic-hybrid speakers.
Soundstage Imaging
89/100
TONEAudio attributes the amplifier's ability to breathe and fade cleanly into silence to improved access to instrumental texture and musical contrasts. The supplied reviews offer less direct discussion of stage width, image focus or depth than they do of resolution and control.

Build Quality
94/100
Reviewers describe hand-built Canadian construction to professional-audio standards, with a compact but exceptionally substantial 90-plus-pound chassis. Audiophilepure specifically praises the Cubed series' machine work, while TONEAudio points to Bryston's exceptional warranty and long-standing dependability; balanced and RCA inputs add useful system flexibility.
Value for Money
96/100
At roughly $25,000 per pair in the reviews, these are plainly premium monoblocks, but both publications frame the price as unusually well justified. Audiophilepure gave them an Exceptional Value Award and argued that even $100,000 pairs would not better them, while TONEAudio stresses durability and warranty coverage as meaningful ownership value.
