Classé Audio Delta Stereo

Future Audiophile found the Delta Stereo essentially colorless, accurate and free of an imposed sonic signature, with cymbals detailed yet never bright. Audiophilepure similarly heard a natural, even-handed and full presentation that avoided coolness or sterility.

The amplifier is praised for clean, warm-leaning Class-A operation at lower outputs, while retaining neutrality as power demand rises. Part-Time Audiophile heard smoothness and refinement that departed slightly from strict neutrality but found the result immensely satisfying; Future Audiophile also noted believable warmth and roundness on vocals and organ.

This is a standout strength. Reviewers report serious muscle, deep and immediate bass authority, huge dynamic impact, and clean party-level output; Audiophilepure said its bass solidity and slam surpassed its Swiss reference amplifier in some respects. Future Audiophile also found ample headroom beyond the initial Class-A range, with no audible transition into Class-AB operation.

Future Audiophile heard open space around instruments and a soundstage that remained convincingly locked together. Part-Time Audiophile described a stage that easily filled the space between the speakers, with pinpoint, precise imaging and clearly separated instruments.

The Delta Stereo is consistently described as exceptionally engineered and physically substantial. Reviews cite its serious, heavy power supply, handmade circuit boards, premium capacitors, Furutech speaker terminals and carefully designed, torque-indicating binding-post knobs; the 100-pound-plus chassis is also noted as a two-person lift.

At roughly $13,000 to $14,000, the Delta Stereo is presented as a justified premium component rather than an inexpensive option. Part-Time Audiophile felt the Delta combination crossed a difficult-to-find performance threshold at its price and said buyers could spend considerably more for less performance, while Future Audiophile called the amplifier a rock-solid performer at $13,000.
