OVER THIRTY YEARS OF AUDIO INNOVATION
RINARO ISODYNAMICS has been at the forefront of planar magnetic technology for over 30 years. With a state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing facility in Ukraine, RINARO developed the Isodynamic Hybrid Array technology, featured in the EMPYREAN, ELITE, LIRIC, and Meze Audio POET headphones.
AWARD-WINNING TECHNOLOGY
Meze Audio POET features the RINARO MZ6 Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver—a synthesis of the MZ4 and the MZ3SE drivers featured in the award-winning LIRIC and ELITE headphones. This new design aims to deliver a compact yet high-performance experience akin to the ELITE series. Each MZ6 driver is meticulously hand-assembled and tested at RINARO’s industrial facility in Ukraine, ensuring exceptional quality and precision.

ADVANTAGES OF A DUAL-DRIVEN VOICE COIL SYSTEM
The Isodynamic Hybrid Array optimizes sound intensity distribution, particularly at frequencies above 10 kHz, leading to significantly enhanced spatial imaging and precise localization within the reproduced sound field.
SWITCHBACK COIL
Positioned in the upper section of the driver, the switchback coil is optimized for the efficient reproduction of lower frequencies, delivering a robust bass response.
SPIRAL COIL
The spiral coil, placed directly over the ear canal, excels at reproducing mid-to-high frequencies. This positioning enables direct transmission of sound waves into the ear, minimizing time delays and enhancing clarity.
AMTS
Our implementation of the Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System technology relies on a precision-crafted metal component that strategically covers select openings in the driver frame, to effectively attenuate high-frequency peaks for a less fatiguing listening experience.
*Meze Audio POET includes AMTS technology licensed from Dan Clark Audio.
DESIGNED FOR LIFE
Originating from a sense of responsibility towards the environment and a desire to enhance your experience for as long as possible, we’ve designed the Meze Audio POET to be fully serviceable: from the replaceable earpads to the high-performance materials used, every part of the headphone chassis can be disassembled and serviced.
“From the very beginning of our Meze Audio POET journey, we knew we wanted to create something unique — a more compact planar-magnetic open-back headphone that is every bit as capable as our flagship models. Well then, what better place to look than at the very apex? In collaboration with our friends at RINARO ISODYNAMICS, we synthesized the essence of ELITE’s driver technology and gave it new life. I believe Meze Audio POET turned out to be more than just a headphone; it’s a nod to a huge stepping stone in our development as a team and a testament to how far we’ve come.” – Alex Grigoras, Acoustic Engineer

Meze Audio POET turns long sessions into a lush, fatigue-free escape, pairing controlled, weighty bass with richly textured vocals and immersive front-to-back depth. Its 55-ohm planar design is easy to drive, while plush ergonomics and luxury craftsmanship elevate every listen. ecoustics admired its relaxed musicality; Audiophile Style highlighted its natural timbre and engaging detail.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Pros
Rich, organic vocal and instrumental tone with controlled, warm bass.
Exceptional comfort and premium construction support extended listening sessions.
Easy-to-drive planar design works well with portable sources while scaling with better amplification.
&
Cons
Relaxed damping softens fine detail, transient attack and macrodynamic punch versus more analytical rivals.
Soundstage favors intimacy and depth over expansive width.
Treble can occasionally sound bright, uneven or metallic with certain recordings and listeners.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 85/100
The POET is widely described as warm, lush and musically involving, with especially strong vocal tone, controlled bass and convincing depth. Its relaxed, softened transient character makes for easy long listening, but several reviewers find it less incisive, spacious and resolving than leading alternatives around $2,000.
Bass
89/100
Reviewers consistently praise the bass as deep, articulate and controlled, with satisfying mid-bass weight, tactility and texture rather than bloat. Several note a slight roll-off in the deepest sub-bass, so it is more warm and enveloping than truly subterranean.
Midrange
88/100
Vocals and acoustic instruments receive repeated praise for rich tone, natural softness and organic timbre. The presentation can be somewhat lower-mid focused, and a few listeners hear slight recession or reduced completeness in certain vocal and piano recordings.
Treble
82/100
The treble is generally smooth, airy and forgiving, with enough upper-end lift to provide sparkle and openness. However, multiple reviews identify occasional peaks, glare or metallic cymbal tone, especially with particular tracks, sources or treble-sensitive listeners.
Resolution Detail
85/100
The POET retrieves ample texture and microdetail for its price, with especially convincing midrange nuance and clearly rendered instrumental information. Its soft, damped character does not expose the finest details as readily as the most analytical competitors, a limitation noted by several reviewers.
Soundstage Imaging
84/100
The stage is more intimate than expansive, commonly described as deeper than it is wide. Imaging, separation and front-to-back placement earn strong praise, though some reviewers find width, layering depth and localization precision only middling beside the best open-back rivals.
Dynamics
83/100
Bass slam can be powerful and tactile, and several reviewers enjoy the POET's sense of drive with energetic music. Its broader transient presentation is softer than hard-hitting or lightning-fast headphones, with macrodynamic punch and microdynamic contrast recurring as caveats.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Comfort Fit
92/100
Comfort is a major strength: reviewers repeatedly praise the plush pads, well-judged clamp, cup articulation and effective weight distribution during long sessions. Some note that the ear openings are not especially large or that the initial clamp is snug, but these concerns are minor in the overall feedback.
Build Quality
95/100
Reviewers are exceptionally enthusiastic about the POET's construction, describing it as immaculate, impeccably engineered and among the best-built headphones available. The magnesium chassis, titanium headband, premium finish and refined industrial design are repeatedly singled out.
Features Usability
86/100
The POET is easy to drive from dongles, portable players and modest amplifiers, while still responding to better equipment. Its detachable dual 3.5 mm cable arrangement and quality stock cable are practical, though it is a conventional open-back wired design without portability or isolation advantages.
Value for Money
85/100
At roughly $2,000, several reviewers consider the POET a strong or at least reasonable value, citing its excellent comfort, craftsmanship and engaging sound. Others argue that its detail retrieval, staging and technical performance do not fully justify the price against similarly priced competitors, making value dependent on how much the listener values its relaxed, rich tuning.
