The KEF Kube 15 MIE brings deep sealed-bass extension and serious scale to cinema and two-channel systems. Its 15-inch driver, 300W Class-D amplification and claimed 20Hz reach promise weighty low frequencies with the controlled transient character sealed designs are prized for. Flexible RCA, LFE and speaker-level connections, plus a variable crossover, make this a powerful, adaptable foundation for demanding rooms.
Pros
KEF’s sealed-subwoofer approach is associated with deep, defined bass and a tight response.
The 15-inch sealed driver, 300W RMS amplifier and claimed 20Hz extension suggest substantial low-frequency authority.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 89/100
Bass
90/100
Large 15" sealed driver, claimed 20Hz ±3dB and 116dB max output suggest strong extension and authority for a sealed design. No reviewer measurements supplied; score based on driver size, spec'd response and power (300W RMS). Bass >92 not assigned because there are no direct comparisons to larger reference models.
Dynamics
86/100
Sealed cabinet and a single large driver with 300W Class-D amplification typically favor tight, controlled transient response — supporting good macro/micro dynamics. No listening-room or reviewer headroom/compression reports were available; score reflects expected behavior from sealed large-driver design and power rating.

Integration
80/100
Inputs (RCA, speaker-level, LFE) and variable low-pass (40–140Hz) give flexible tuning options, which should aid blending with mains. However, no outcome-based reviewer evidence of 'seamless' or 'disappearing' integration is provided. Features ≠ Integration; add outcome evidence or lower Integration.
Build Quality
88/100
Heavy (27.5 kg) and compact sealed enclosure dimensions indicate a robust cabinet and driver assembly consistent with KEF's build standards. No reviews mentioning durability or finish flaws were provided; rating based on brand reputation and specs.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Includes RCA/LFE, speaker-level inputs and KW1 expansion port plus variable low-pass (40–140Hz) — straightforward, useful connectivity for most setups. No app, room correction or wireless control listed, so functionality is solid but not cutting-edge.
Value for Money
82/100
At roughly $1,499 for a 15" sealed KEF sub with 20Hz extension and 116dB output, this is a premium offering with sensible pricing relative to features and driver size. Lacking review statements like 'best in class' or explicit value endorsements, the score is conservative but favorable.
