Value for Money

85/100

The Maximus NEO brings energetically dense, robust analog playback to a compact high-end platform, pairing a substantial aluminum chassis and precision bearing with a velvety timbre that preserves resolution and transparency. Audiophilepure highlights its captivating intensity and precisely layered, forward-focused soundstage—an involving foundation for a carefully chosen 9-inch tonearm.

What Reviewers Are Saying

"Thus, the Acoustic Signature Maximus Neo has what it takes to offer an irresistible and convincing performance with its captivating intensity."

— Audiophilepure

Pros

Dense, robust and intensely involving presentation with precisely layered spatial imaging.

Slightly velvety, sonorous tonal character retains resolution and transparency.

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 88/100

The available listening report finds the Maximus NEO unusually compelling, combining a subtly velvety tonal character with retained resolution and transparency. Its presentation is described as dense, robust and intensely involving, with precisely placed forward-stage imaging; the review offers less direct insight into long-term pitch behavior, arm execution and isolation.

Overall Sound

95/100

Audiophilepure hears a convincing, captivating and “irresistible” performance. It praises the deck’s energetic density and robust delivery, while noting a lightly sonorous, velvety timbre that does not compromise resolution or transparency.

Speed Stability

85/100

The belt-drive system provides fine speed adjustment and dedicated 33⅓ and 45rpm operation. The listening report praises the turntable’s robust, assured musical presentation, but does not directly assess wow, flutter or pitch constancy.

Tonearm Performance

85/100

This is a deck-only design intended for a single 9-inch tonearm, rather than a package with an included arm to assess. Reviewers do not discuss arm mounting, adjustability or tracking behavior in detail.

Noise Isolation

82/100

The review does not directly comment on motor noise, bearing noise, rumble or sensitivity to external vibration. Its reported clarity and transparency are encouraging in use, but they are not a direct isolation assessment.

Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.

Build Quality

87/100

The Maximus NEO is built around a substantial 30mm aluminum chassis, a 5.8kg anodized-aluminum platter and Acoustic Signature’s high-precision Dura Turn Diamond bearing. Three height-adjustable, gel-damped aluminum feet add practical installation flexibility, though the review provides little comment on finish quality or long-term durability.

Features Usability

84/100

This is a focused manual deck with integrated controls, selectable 33⅓/45rpm operation and fine speed adjustment. Its adjustable feet support leveling, but there is no bundled arm, cartridge, phono stage or automation for buyers seeking an all-in-one solution.

Value for Money

85/100

At roughly €3,790–€4,618, the Maximus NEO sits in a serious high-end turntable bracket, with substantial materials and a precision bearing to support that positioning. The available review is enthusiastic about its musical performance but does not directly compare its price against rivals or make a specific value claim.
