THE CONCEPT

From the beginning, we chose a different path. We asked: what if the cabinet didn’t hold the speaker back, but set it free? That question led us to stone — a material as timeless as music itself.
Our precision-crafted stone enclosures eliminate resonance and distortion, allowing every note to emerge with stunning clarity and purity.

Why Stone?

At Acora, performance has always come first. Our pursuit of the most faithful, uncolored reproduction of music led us to take a deep look at a critical — yet often overlooked — factor: cabinet resonance. For decades, wood has been the material of choice for speaker enclosures, used by the vast majority of high-end audio brands. But even with the most advanced construction techniques, we found that wood simply couldn't escape its nature — it always added something to the sound. A subtle coloration. A soft veil over the truth.

We looked further. Aluminum, composites, exotic materials — each with their strengths, but none quite delivering the neutrality and control we demanded. Then we found our answer: natural stone. Stone offered everything we were searching for:

1. Virtually no interaction with the energy from the speaker cones — letting the drivers speak freely.

2. High mass, providing rock-solid stability, enhancing soundstage depth and stereo focus.

3. Unique, bespoke character — no two pieces are alike, making every speaker truly one of a kind.

4. Timeless aesthetic that brings elegance into any home.

It wasn’t the easy path, but it was the right one.
Because when the enclosure disappears, all that’s left is the music.

THE CABINET

At Acora, we craft our enclosures from precision-machined natural stone, chosen for its rigidity, mass, and acoustic inertness. These properties allow our speakers to deliver music with exceptional clarity, focus, and emotional depth.

Every cabinet is shaped with meticulous care, resulting in a structure that performs flawlessly and showcases a distinct, timeless beauty. No two are alike — each one is a unique expression of natural elegance. This is where form meets function — and where the music truly comes to life.

DRIVERS

The SRC series is built around a carefully selected and expertly refined driver set, each one modified and perfected by Acora with one goal in mind: musicality.

The midrange and bass drivers, based on renowned paper cone designs, are tuned to reveal natural warmth, dynamic expression, and effortless realism. Through proprietary adjustments, we've refined their ability to convey texture, emotion, and the subtle energy of live performance.

For the high frequencies, we selected a custom-voiced soft dome tweeter, chosen not just for its refined tonal character but for how beautifully it integrates with the rest of the system — without the need for resistors in the signal path. This preserves the tweeter’s natural clarity and immediacy, while maintaining the cohesive, organic presentation that defines the SRC sound.

Every driver, every choice, is made in service of a single purpose: to deliver an experience that is technically pure, but above all, emotionally powerful.

Tweeter

A carefully selected Beryllium tweeter, voiced for smooth, extended highs, integrates effortlessly with the system.  Requiring no resistors in the signal path has preserved clarity, immediacy, and musicality.

Midrange/Woofer

A custom-voiced paper cone woofer delivers natural warmth, fast transients, and deep, articulate bass.Tuned by Acora for tonal balance and dynamic expression, it anchors the music with authority and grace.

Crossover

The SRC crossover is the result of exacting engineering and countless hours of listening. Designed for perfect phase alignment and driver integration, it allows each component to perform at its best — with effortless coherence and dynamic ease. Internally, the layout is optimized for signal purity and mechanical isolation.

Deliciously Crispy

An astonishingly large, immersive 3-D soundstage defines the SRB, pairing a surprisingly authoritative low end with a revealing, natural detailed midrange. Acora's hand‑machined cabinets act as an inert granite enclosure that exposes microdetail and dynamics, while the monitors' tuneful, tight bass and vivid imaging make them sound far bigger than their size — praised by Grover Neville and TONEAudio MAGAZINE.

Part Time Audiophile

"If I were to sum up my experience of the Acora SRB it would be that it has reminded me of the Joy of the Novice."

Pros

  • Expansive, three‑dimensional soundstage and precise imaging that belie the SRB’s compact footprint.
  • Exceptionally revealing, natural midrange and vocal presence that uncovers nuance and timbral detail.
  • Hand‑machined granite enclosures deliver an inert, resonance‑free platform that sharpens transient clarity and microdetail.
  • Surprisingly tight, deep bass for a 5.5–5.9″ woofer when properly sited on Acora’s stands, giving authoritative low‑end impact.

&

Cons

  • Highly revealing nature demands careful system matching—poor upstream gear or cables will be exposed.
  • Lower‑treble can sound forward or slightly shrill with some amplifier pairings and may need correction.
  • Premium pricing and the near‑mandatory cost of SRS stands reduce overall value for many buyers.

Sound Quality

92/100

Bass

92/100

For its size the SRB delivers notably deep, punchy and well-defined bass (reviewers repeatedly called it 'deep' and 'powerful' and even likened the experience to a floorstander). Ported design and a claimed 43Hz response are supported by multiple listening notes that the speakers can produce surprising low-frequency authority when sited on the correct stands.

Mid

94/100

Reviewers consistently praised the SRB's midrange clarity and vocal presence—'hear every element' and 'laid bare'—with slightly forward tonal balance that makes vocals extraordinarily revealing and natural. Several reports note excellent timbre and nuance on voice and acoustic instruments.

Treble

87/100

Treble is very revealing and detailed (breaths, microdetail) but at least one reviewer noted a persistent lower-treble shrillness that required EQ/room/amp correction. Overall extension and air are strong, but some systems may need smoothing.

Soundstage Imaging

94/100

Multiple reviewers describe an enormous, 3-D, immersive soundstage with superb imaging and image focus—'big, deep, and immersive' and 'snapping into focus'—even when the monitors are relatively close to the wall. Placement (wide spacing, little toe-in) was repeatedly cited as beneficial.

Dynamics

92/100

The SRB is praised for micro- and macrodynamic control and excellent dynamic tracking; reviewers report quick, articulate transients and coherence across levels, and that the speakers accept a wide range of amplifiers without strain.

Build Quality

95/100

Granite, hand-crafted enclosures and meticulous fit-and-finish receive high marks; reviewers emphasize the inert, resonance-free cabinets and substantial construction (nearly 60 lbs each) that remove enclosure coloration and allow driver/crossover accuracy to shine.

Features Connectivity

80/100

Passive baseline applied. Standard passive two-post connections and recommended power 10–150W; no bi-wire/extra connectivity reported.

Value for Money

72/100

Performance is exceptional, but the $18,750 price (plus costly granite stands) limits value for most buyers; reviewers note alternatives (QR series ~20% cheaper) and the high premium for granite construction.
