THE CONCEPT

From the beginning, we chose a different path. We asked: what if the cabinet didn’t hold the speaker back, but set it free? That question led us to stone — a material as timeless as music itself.
Our precision-crafted stone enclosures eliminate resonance and distortion, allowing every note to emerge with stunning clarity and purity.

Why Stone?

At Acora, performance has always come first. Our pursuit of the most faithful, uncolored reproduction of music led us to take a deep look at a critical — yet often overlooked — factor: cabinet resonance. For decades, wood has been the material of choice for speaker enclosures, used by the vast majority of high-end audio brands. But even with the most advanced construction techniques, we found that wood simply couldn't escape its nature — it always added something to the sound. A subtle coloration. A soft veil over the truth.

We looked further. Aluminum, composites, exotic materials — each with their strengths, but none quite delivering the neutrality and control we demanded. Then we found our answer: natural stone. Stone offered everything we were searching for:

1. Virtually no interaction with the energy from the speaker cones — letting the drivers speak freely.

2. High mass, providing rock-solid stability, enhancing soundstage depth and stereo focus.

3. Unique, bespoke character — no two pieces are alike, making every speaker truly one of a kind.

4. Timeless aesthetic that brings elegance into any home.

It wasn’t the easy path, but it was the right one.
Because when the enclosure disappears, all that’s left is the music.

THE CABINET

At Acora, we craft our enclosures from precision-machined natural stone, chosen for its rigidity, mass, and acoustic inertness. These properties allow our speakers to deliver music with exceptional clarity, focus, and emotional depth.

Every cabinet is shaped with meticulous care, resulting in a structure that performs flawlessly and showcases a distinct, timeless beauty. No two are alike — each one is a unique expression of natural elegance. This is where form meets function — and where the music truly comes to life.

DRIVERS

The SRC series is built around a carefully selected and expertly refined driver set, each one modified and perfected by Acora to meet our exacting standards — not just for precision, but for musicality.

The midrange and bass drivers, based on renowned paper cone designs, are individually tuned to deliver natural warmth, dynamic energy, and lifelike tonal balance. Through proprietary adjustments and voicing, we've enhanced their ability to reveal subtle textures and emotional nuance, resulting in a sound that feels effortlessly alive.

In the high frequencies, a beryllium dome tweeter brings sparkling extension, speed, and air, carefully integrated to maintain cohesion and natural flow. Our tuning ensures the treble remains clear and detailed, yet always inviting.

The SRC drivers work in harmony to serve that singular vision: authentic, emotionally engaging sound that draws you in and holds you there.

Tweeter

A carefully selected beryllium dome tweeter, voiced for smooth, extended highs, integrates effortlessly with the system — requiring no resistors in the signal path, preserving clarity, immediacy, and musicality.

Midrange/Woofer

A custom-voiced paper cone woofer delivers natural warmth, fast transients, and deep, articulate bass.Tuned by Acora for tonal balance and dynamic expression, it anchors the music with authority and grace.

Crossover

The SRC crossover is the result of exacting engineering and countless hours of listening. Designed for perfect phase alignment and driver integration, it allows each component to perform at its best — with effortless coherence and dynamic ease. Internally, the layout is optimized for signal purity and mechanical isolation.

Acora Acoustics QRC-2 — sculpted stone form meets world-class sound

The QRC-2 is a statement floorstander that marries a 3cm high‑polish quartz cabinet and CNC precision with a remarkably musical voice. With a specified 92.5dB/W/m efficiency, dual 7" sandwich paper woofers and a 1" beryllium dome, it delivers effortless dynamics, deep authoritative bass and an expansive soundstage.

Reviewers praise its midrange clarity and imaging: Rick Becker — Enjoy The Music calls the QRC-2 "first-class sound quality in a luxurious form factor," while Audiophilepure notes how "the music completely escaped the speaker" across a wide, transparent stage.

Sonically it excels in midrange timbre, micro/macro dynamics and imaging; treble air and ultimate extension can be room-dependent but improve with system/treatment tweaks. Build quality is flagship-level and the QRC-2 suits serious listeners who want a long-term, heirloom loudspeaker that scales with better electronics.

Audiophilepure

"The music completely escaped the speaker and was spread over a soundstage that was as wide and deep as the Kharma."

Pros

  • Exceptional midrange resolution and timbral accuracy — reviewers call the QRC-2 "world-class" for timbre and lyric intelligibility.
  • Wide, deep and highly transparent soundstage with precise imaging — music 'escapes the speaker' and reveals off‑axis detail.
  • High sensitivity and authoritative bass from dual 7" drivers — comfortable dynamics even with modest tube amps thanks to 92.5dB/W/m efficiency.

Cons

  • Premium price makes the QRC-2 a financial stretch for many buyers.
  • Very heavy, stone‑cabinet construction demands careful handling and may require multiple people or equipment for placement.
  • Treble air and sparkle can be room- or setup-dependent; some listeners noted reduced treble air in a damped room without additional system tweaks.

Sound Quality

95/100

Bass

95/100

Dual 7" woofers and a 29Hz spec give the QRC-2 strong low-frequency capability. Reviews note stronger, better-resolved bass than comparable references, that moving the speakers closer improved bass, and that added subwoofers provided little benefit—evidence of authoritative, deep bass with room/placement sensitivity.

Mid

96/100

Reviewers describe a very smooth frequency response, excellent timbre and improved lyric intelligibility; the midrange is consistently praised as highly natural and resolving, placing these speakers among world-class performers in the reviewer’s experience.

Treble

91/100

Beryllium dome delivers refinement and detail, though one reviewer noted some lack of air/sparkle (attributed partly to room décor). When room/delivery improved, treble resolution and sparkle increased—very capable but somewhat room-dependent.

Soundstage Imaging

96/100

Multiple comments that the music ‘escaped the speaker’, with a very wide, deep and transparent soundstage and highly focused, stable images; reviewers reported strong lateral/extreme-edge detail that pulled attention to off-center soloists.

Dynamics

95/100

Reviewers cite outstanding macro and micro dynamics and exceptional responsiveness (notably with a fast GaN amp), describing both slam and subtle dynamic nuances as excellent.

Build Quality

97/100

High-end stone cabinetry with CNC machining, seamless bonded slabs, flared sides to reduce diffraction, heavy construction and meticulous packaging—reviewers emphasize flagship-level engineering and finish.

Features Connectivity

80/100

Passive baseline applied. No additional connectivity features (DSP/app/streaming) reported; terminals/features not detailed in reviews.

Value for Money

75/100

At $37,000 the QRC-2 is expensive and described as a financial stretch for many buyers, yet reviewers argue its performance rivals far more costly systems—excellent performance but premium pricing limits broad value appeal.
