Weiss Engineering Ltd. was founded by Daniel Weiss in 1985, building on his experience at Willi Studer AG where he helped pioneer digital audio technologies. Initially focused on mastering studio equipment, Weiss Engineering's first product, the 102 Series, set new benchmarks with its 24-bit/96 kHz capabilities and was notably used in Sony Music's IBIS digital mixing console for classical recordings. By the early '90s, the Weiss Gambit Series introduced advanced audio units featuring 40-bit floating point processors and up to 96 kHz sampling rates, solidifying Weiss Engineering's reputation in the mastering industry. Expanding into high-end hi-fi in 2000, Weiss Engineering applied its mastery expertise to create premium audiophile equipment. Notable products include the MEDEA D/A Converter, JASON CD Transport, and the HELIOS flagship D/A Converter. Weiss Engineering remains at the cutting edge of audio technology, delivering exceptional playback quality.
