Several reviewers hear a clean, transparent and detailed presentation, with one describing the sound as free of audible distortion and another praising its resolving yet warm character. However, an earlier review reported persistent hiss and a veil over music, so source chain, unit revision and setup appear important.

Later assessments found the amplifier warm, calm and inviting, with revised tone controls allowing a very pleasing sound signature. Another reviewer found it lean, bright and short of low-end weight without adjustment, while the negative review considered the controls heavy-handed; it is best treated as an amp that benefits from matching and tonal tuning.

Reviewers consistently report ample power for the size, including robust performance with inefficient 83–87dB speakers and large tower speakers. It remains clear at elevated volume and delivers convincing guitar force with bass adjustment, although one listener found leading transients slightly over-quick.

Spatial performance is a recurring strength in the positive reviews, which describe above-average separation, good space between notes and a somewhat holographic stage. Other listening found a wide, detailed soundstage with stable placement and useful depth cues.

The compact metal chassis, smooth volume control and generally satisfying fit and finish earn positive comments for the price, and one reviewer noted cool-running operation. Against that, an earlier reviewer experienced sparking while connecting the power supply and considered the unit defective, which is a meaningful reliability concern even if it conflicts with the later reports.

At roughly $72–$80, several reviewers call the TB10D a steal, a brilliant value and an unusually capable amplifier for a modest secondary or space-conscious system. The opposing review plainly advises against buying its problematic sample, but the broader commentary sees strong performance and power for the money.
