Dual ACCUSILICON high-performance ultra-low noise femtosecond crystal oscillators

For the first time, FIIO utilizes two industry-leading ACCUSILICON AS318-B series ultra-low phase noise femtosecond oscillators (45.1584MHz, 49.1520MHz), which have been fully screened. These effectively reduce the impact of phase noise on audio signals, resulting in high levels of decoding fidelity and digital output precision. When paired with high-performance external decoders and amplifiers, you can achieve reference-grade sound.

Proprietary DAPS (Digital Audio Purification System)

No resampling throughout

FIIO’s proprietary (DAPS digital audio purification system), composed of a custom Android audio core and a low-jitter clock coprocessor, has been refined over many years. It allows for non-resampled audio globally at both the application and system levels. It can also accurately match various sampling rates of PCM and DSD audio for purer music.

Like in the Q15, K9 AKM, and M23, the S15 also utilizes the highly acclaimed AKM flagship DAC combo - AK4191+AK4499EX. This combo is based on a new design that fully separates the digital and analog portions and also incorporates ‘DWA ROUTING Technology’ – all of which enhances signal-to-noise ratio and reduces noise across various amplitudes. The audible result is a cleaner background and improved resolution to deliver a natural, relaxed, and totally unstrained sound.

Fully balanced analog audio architecture

The S15 uses a fully balanced design, including everything from the DAC decoding to the preamplifier stage. Such a design significantly reduces noise and crosstalk and improves the line and preamp output quality – for which you can choose between fixed or variable gain. The IV, LPF, and other audio sections count on OPA1612 low-noise precision op-amps for high voltage supply to ensure the dynamics in your music are faithfully reproduced.
