Introducing our cutting-edge Audio Mirror product – ADDICTION PSE power amp mono blocks.

Much like its predecessor, the new ADDICTION PSE power amp is no mere happenstance; it is the culmination of numerous trials and experiments. The logical outcome is undeniable—power amp that deliver unrivaled dynamics, resolution, soundstage, and tonality. All ADDICTION monoblocks feature all triode design, DC-coupled input and driver stages, and employ a distinctive biasing system. The result is an astonishingly dynamic sound, precise and controlled bass, lightning-fast transients, and formidable dynamic power, capable of reaching 100 watts peaks without clipping. What more can be said…

Silver wires are meticulously used for signal transmission, accompanied by High-End capacitors and custom-made transformers. Every component selected represents the epitome of “price is no object” quality. Yet, it’s not solely the components that contribute to the greatness of these amplifiers. Countless hours of critical listening, accompanied by meticulous tweaks and adjustments, have been undertaken to appease the discerning ear. While specifications may hint at certain characteristics, nuances like warm or cool sound, open and airy versus compressed and clinical cannot be encapsulated by mere specs. Therefore, read the specifications—they provide a fundamental understanding of the amps’ qualities. The rest is discovered through your ears. These amps can proficiently drive speakers with sensitivity of 89 dB and above. We recommend speakers with a sensitivity of 91 dB and higher to fully experience the grandeur of these monoblocks. Custom-made transformers and other components necessitate a break-in period of approximately 100-150 hours.

The 6C33C Russian tubes employed are renowned for delivering exceptional power, dynamics, and transients.

ADDICTION amps are equipped with built-in protection. This safeguard monitors the output tubes for over-biasing, overvoltage, arcing, and overdriving. In the event of any irregularity, it promptly shuts down the HT and indicates the problematic tube.

Utilizing IsoAcoustics feet, ADDICTION amps absorb vibrations, enhancing clarity and resolution in the sound.

Tubes come with a 90-day warranty, while amps are covered for 2 years. Power cords are not included with the amps.

The appeal of these amps is not only in their superior performance but also in their unique and stylish design, aligning with Audio Mirror’s commitment to creating products that sound and look exceptional.

USER MANUAL

Switch between transformers

This switch is cutting OFF the HT. High voltage. So in case you have brand new tubes(power tubes) you need to burn them in. 6C33C need a burn in period – 24 hrs. So if you flip the switch you won’t have high voltage and you’ll have only filaments ON. That’s how you burn in your power tubes. Flip the switch, leave the power tubes in the sockets. The other 2 small tubes you can leave or remove doesn’t matter. The same way you burn in the small tubes. Turn ON the amps and leave them. You won’t hear a “click” from delay relay after 1 minute. After you finished(24hrs burn in) flip the switch back.

If you flip the switch while the amps are working – you’ll loose the high voltage and they’ll stop producing sound. Nothing else will happen. You won’t burn anything.

When switch is pointing(flipped) to SPK terminals the HT (high voltage)is ON.

Protection

Protection is designed to do a few things.

1-1.5 min delay on turn ON

When tubes have runaway or arcing – shuts OFF

Excessive bias – shuts OFF

When tubes are overdriven – shuts OFF

When protection is engaged one or two of the LEDs(one by each power tube) lights ON to show which tube is having issues(arching or runaway or bias is creeping up). The LED stays lighted up until you power OFF the amp.

Powering OFF and then ON the amp resets the protection.

It’s very helpful to know which tube is the “bad boy”, because most protections will just shut OFF the HT of the amp and you don’t know which tube caused this.

Tube placement

6C33C don’t need to be matched. It doesn’t matter in which socket they go. They are autobiased.

The small tubes:

6H9C=6SL7 go to the socket which is on the same side where the input XLR/RCA is.

6H8C=6SN7 go to the socket which is on the same side where the speaker binding posts are.

Monoblocks tube positions are mirrored.
