The S.M.S.L PL200 MK2 desktop audio system blends the warm timbre of physical CDs with modern lossless digital technology. It serves as an all-in-one desktop audio hub integrating a CD player, high-end DAC, digital interface, high-quality headphone amplifier, and two-way Bluetooth transmission and reception.

Featuring an elegant, retro top-loading design, the system uses a custom magnetic CD stabilizer to reduce minor vibrations and improve reading precision, while also supporting a visually engaging "Open-Lid Playback" mode. For decoding performance, the PL200 MK2 is equipped with the next-generation ESS ES9039Q2M DAC chip, delivering a measured distortion as low as 0.00007% to meticulously reproduce subtle overtones and soundstage changes. In addition to full MQA-CD unfolding, its USB input supports high-resolution lossless decoding of PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD512, accompanied by an independent DoP display to easily track the active format.

On the wireless front, the system introduces two-way Bluetooth technology, allowing it to receive high-definition audio via codecs like LDAC and aptX HD, as well as act as a Bluetooth transmitter to stream CD or USB audio wirelessly to Bluetooth headphones or speakers. To satisfy different user needs, a dedicated "Transport Mode" is designed to shut down the internal analog circuitry, minimizing electromagnetic interference and significantly enhancing the digital output quality via optical and coaxial outputs. Furthermore, the built-in headphone amplifier utilizes a patented PLFC circuit, delivering a robust 1.5W x 2 output power at 16Ω. It features both 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm single-ended outputs, while the rear panel provides XLR balanced and RCA analog outputs with selectable preamp (variable volume) and line-out (fixed volume) modes.

The entire unit is built with a high-quality all-aluminum CNC alloy chassis that is both solid and stable. It features a tempered glass full-lamination IPS display paired with a newly developed user interface, making every adjustment and remote operation intuitive and efficient to create a clean, detailed, and tactile personal music space on your desktop.
