Flagship Pure Class A Fully Balanced Headphone Amplifier

Quality | Emotion

There is no end to the pursuit of beautiful sound. How can we present the essence of sound through equipment? This is a question GOLDENWAVE has always pondered and a goal it has always pursued.

To enable high-end headphones to release high-quality sound, and for this sound to be full of emotion, rather than cold playback. This is also the original intention of developing GAX. GAX can bring you an extraordinary experience.

Hollowed out from an Aluminum Block

GOLDENWAVE uses a block of aluminum, precisely machined into a chassis by CNC.

The seamless chassis can better shield internal noise and reduce mutual interference.

The small chassis weighs 7 kilograms, which effectively enhances the stability of the machine during operation.

Exquisite Appearance

We use "gentle and elegant" to describe the appearance of GAX.

The chassis is precisely machined by CNC with a frosted outer shell. The chassis, polished through multiple processes, is seamlessly integrated and showcases its texture. While enjoying the wonderful music brought by GAX, you also get the same visual enjoyment.

4 Years of Development

Only for the pursuit of that almost perfect inner sound

Since 2014, GOLDENWAVE engineers have successively tried several circuit architectures. After finalizing the architecture, they repeatedly modified it until the final design was set. Every seemingly simple fine-tuning reflects GOLDENWAVE's unremitting pursuit.

Discrete Pure Class A Fully Balanced Headphone Amplifier Circuit

The GA-X uses a fully discrete component circuit architecture design. Each amplification unit is composed of transistors operating in the Class A linear working region. The working status of each stage is carefully adjusted, and the optimized four-layer circuit board gives the GA-X a THD+N of 0.0004% and an SNR of -110dB. In terms of sound performance, it boasts excellent transient response, transparency, and detail.

The GA-X uses a precise fully balanced amplification drive method, with four completely independent amplification drive units. Each component is precisely matched, and each unit is carefully adjusted. A balanced feedback architecture is designed for it, and the output drive stage operating in Class A has an output swing of up to 30V, which can easily drive most headphones and ensure accurate reproduction of music signals.

Power Supply

The power supply section of the GA-X uses a medical-grade power input socket. The entire machine is powered by an 80W toroidal transformer, and 5 independent low-noise high-speed voltage regulator circuits supply power to each functional unit, providing ample and clean power support for the fully balanced pure Class A amplification circuit.

Input and Output

The GA-X can drive multiple headphones simultaneously. It also features a protection circuit to safeguard the headphones.

The GA-X supports 2 sets of signal inputs, allowing connection of 2 audio sources. It also connects this unit between the audio source and other audio devices, and this unit includes 1 set of interfaces for preamp output signals.
