A Masterclass in Cable Design

The new Darwin Natural 2 RCA borrows heavily upon the Enlightenment and really closes the performance gap between them. More than a cable, really, an enthralling listening experience—The Natural 2. Weighing in at 2 ounces (1M RCA) Darwin Natural 2 is a sonic heavyweight that delivers incredibly smooth, natural. detailed organic sound, and punches far above its price point. We'll take on all challengers. If you read the reviews you'll find that many of our die-hard clients believe the only competition Darwin Cables have is within the Darwin Family. The Natural 2 is a prime example.

The Natural 2 is special, employing much of the technology from our flagship Enlightenment cables. From the highest quality pure silver wire, elite cryogenic treatment, and unbleached cotton sleeving everything is engineered to assure the purest possible signal transmission. For 12 years now Darwin has been delivering world-class sound and common sense prices, besting much bigger names with much bigger prices. While the Natural 2 is not our absolute best, it represents an unbeatable value. A master class in cable design.

There's just so much information

I always laugh when I see comments like "It's like a piece of cloth was covering my speakers and was removed." Now I am saying the same thing for the very first time. There's so much air now around the instruments. For example, the kick drum—it's like I am waiting for the air to hit my face. The cymbals, the high-hat—they are now very natural sounding and real with the Darwin Cable Natural RCA. On Gene Ammons' Boss Tenor album, when he blows into his saxophone, it seems like I can see his saliva being spit out of his saxophone when I close my eyes. I can smell the wood on Yo-yo Ma's cello. If you have not heard Jennifer Warnes' album "The Hunter", you owe it to yourself to listen. Especially the cuts like "Lights of Louisianne" and "Pretending to Care." Her voice is so haunting even so now with the Darwins as if I can smell her breath every time she opens her mouth. With Chris Jones' "Roadhouses & Automobiles," the sounds of the crickets in the background are now even more pronounced. Also the second voice, very real—it's scary. There's just so much information and things that I hear now. Even my wife noticed the difference—a huge win for me. —Caesar, West Coast
