The PDAC-1 mounts the ES9038PRO SABRE DAC, the flagship of the ESS PRO series. It sets a new benchmark for audio excellence with the highest dynamic range in the industry (DNR), up to 140 dB, in a 32-bit, 8-channel DAC.

The ES9038PRO DAC also features ESS’s 32-bit HyperStreamDAC patented technology with total harmonic distortion plus noise 122 dB. The HyperStream architecture is responsible for both the excellent sound quality of the ES9038PRO and the extremely low THD + noise.

It has a very low distortion, a very wide bandwidth and little noise. The technical performance of the DAC is on par with any other higher-priced DAC. The signal-to-noise ratio is -116 dB (weighted ‘A’), the frequency response is flat across the bandwidth and the distortion is 0.0052% at 1 kHz. These figures guarantee a completely neutral and accurate digital-to-analog conversion of any digital input. Includes USB input, DSD compatible (only for Windows).

As usual in atm-audio, the whole set has been put into a monobloc chassis of aluminum mechanized by CNC where the different sections have been compartmentalized to avoid interference between them. Thus, we have managed to reduce the noise figure to the minimum level to obtain maximum pleasure in listening to our favorite music. The power supply includes a toroidal transformer, high speed rectifiers, low resistance capacitors and low noise regulators. Optionally you can choose Class A output components (Muses or Sonic Imagery)
