The Arylic S10+ brings smooth, relaxed sound and unusually broad streaming flexibility to compact second systems. IWII Reviews found it clean, full-bodied and easy to use, while Reviews By WaveTheory highlights its Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth and local-playback options. Its family-friendly connectivity and excellent value make background listening feel effortlessly modern.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Pros
Smooth, balanced, relaxed presentation avoids the harsh or overly bright character common in budget digital sources.
Exceptional connectivity for the price, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB storage, line input, optical output and broad streaming-service support.
4STREAM app setup and everyday control are reported as quick, smooth and easy.
&
Cons
Digital output is not bit-perfect and is reported to resample playback to 44.1kHz.
High-resolution tracks can skip through the 4STREAM app, particularly at 192kHz.
Fine detail retrieval and spatial resolution trail dedicated standalone DACs; Bluetooth playback is comparatively flat and lifeless.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 78/100
The S10+ is described as smooth, balanced and pleasantly relaxed rather than sharp or overtly digital, making it well suited to casual and background listening. Its limitations are in fine resolution, spatial focus and high-resolution playback, where both reviews find it less revealing than better standalone DACs or streamers.
Tonal Balance Musicality
84/100
WaveTheory found the sound decent, reasonably smooth and refined, with none of the harshness or brightness often associated with inexpensive digital devices. IWII similarly calls it well balanced, clean, full sounding and laid-back, though it is presented more as an easy-listening source than an especially involving audiophile component.
Resolution Detail
76/100
WaveTheory specifically reports that fine detail, spatial resolution and holography are areas of compromise. IWII finds a decent-width soundstage with stable placement, but says the S10+ cannot resolve as much detail as standalone DAC alternatives.
Digital Performance
72/100
The streamer is reported to resample output to 44.1kHz rather than provide bit-perfect playback, which limits its appeal for high-resolution listening. WaveTheory also encountered skipping with 192kHz material, and occasionally with 96kHz and 88.2kHz tracks through the 4STREAM app, although 44.1kHz and 48kHz playback was more reliable.
FEATURES USABILITY PERFORMANCE 86/100
For a small low-cost streamer, the S10+ offers unusually broad source and network flexibility, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB storage and multiple streaming services. Day-to-day control is generally described as simple and smooth, although high-resolution playback through the app is not consistently dependable.
Streaming Software
84/100
IWII says the app finds the device quickly and is smooth and easy to use, resembling familiar music-player and streaming interfaces. WaveTheory notes broad service access and DLNA support, but reports playback skips with some high-resolution Qobuz material through the 4STREAM app.
Features Connectivity
90/100
WaveTheory calls the feature set impressive for the price, citing Wi-Fi, wired LAN, Bluetooth, line input, computer USB use, USB-drive playback and an optical digital output. Both reviews highlight wide streaming-service support and local-storage playback, though Roon support is absent and the unit does not offer DSD.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
75/100
IWII describes an aluminium body with an acrylic-like cover and considers the compact unit stylish. The reviews say little about chassis rigidity, connector durability, long-term reliability or internal construction.
Value for Money
92/100
At about $69–70, both reviews see a compelling proposition for listeners wanting convenient whole-home or background streaming. WaveTheory recommends it as an easy-to-use, good-enough family and casual-listening device, while IWII calls it a great little device considering its affordability, smartphone control, services and storage support; the main trade-off against stronger rivals is sound quality and high-resolution handling.
