The Arylic H50 packs a remarkably complete streaming system into a compact chassis, delivering quick, clean sound, crisp treble detail and confident low-level performance. HIFI HUNTERS praised its lively drive, while Tharbamar highlighted reliable connectivity. With HDMI ARC, phono, USB-DAC and subwoofer output, this feature-rich network amplifier shines in flexible, space-conscious systems.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Pros
Fast, detailed and energetic presentation with controlled, dry bass and strong treble clarity.
Exceptional connectivity for its size, including reliable Wi-Fi, HDMI ARC, phono input, USB-DAC and subwoofer output.
Performs particularly well at low listening levels and can drive demanding speakers to healthy volumes.
&
Cons
Lean, somewhat cool tonal balance can lack bass weight and vocal density; careful speaker matching is advisable.
Phono stage has limited gain in one review and audible noise in another, particularly with MC cartridges.
Internal streaming app reportedly lacks gapless Amazon Music playback.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 82/100
The H50 is described as quick, clean and detailed, with particularly strong treble definition and an energetic bass character. Its leaner tonal balance and relatively flat presentation divide opinion, however: some listeners found it enjoyable and accurate, while another found vocals and bass notably lacking in body.
Transparency Resolution
84/100
HIFI HUNTERS heard plentiful top-end detail without excessive sharpness, while Tharbamar found the sound clean, neutral and reasonably accurate. Tharbamar also noted that USB playback brought a richer, deeper result than some other inputs, though the amp was not considered especially articulate or highly refined.
Tonal Balance Musicality
78/100
Reviewers consistently point to a lean, fast and somewhat dry character, with HIFI HUNTERS noting generous vocals but a slight lack of density and a mildly cool Class D flavor. Tharbamar could achieve a smoother, richer balance with tuning, but Cheap Audio Man found the lower midrange, bass weight and vocal fullness severely lacking with his setup.
Dynamics
86/100
HIFI HUNTERS found the amplifier fast, lively and capable of driving its demanding Selecta Amator speakers to healthy listening levels without issue. Tharbamar was especially impressed by its performance at very low volumes, although the pairing with harder-to-drive acoustic-suspension speakers sounded somewhat thin.
Soundstage Imaging
81/100
The H50 can produce good air and width, and HIFI HUNTERS also heard a fairly large soundstage. That reviewer nevertheless regarded three-dimensionality as its clearest weakness, describing the presentation as flatter than a more expensive comparison amplifier.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
87/100
HIFI HUNTERS praised the improved finish, citing the all-black aluminium casework, aluminium front panel and clearly legible OLED display. Cheap Audio Man likewise called it well built and singled out the volume knob positively, though neither review addresses long-term durability.
Features Connectivity
95/100
This is an unusually comprehensive compact hub, with Wi-Fi and Ethernet streaming, Bluetooth with aptX HD, HDMI ARC, optical and USB-DAC inputs, MM/MC phono, subwoofer output and USB-host playback. Tharbamar found connectivity a major strength and Wi-Fi highly reliable, while Cheap Audio Man confirmed that HDMI ARC worked flawlessly; the reported pause when using Amazon Music through the internal app is the main operational reservation.
Value for Money
84/100
At the listed $249-$289 price range, the feature set is extensive for a compact network amplifier, and HIFI HUNTERS expressed emphatic enthusiasm about what it delivers. Value assessment is less clear at the $400 price mentioned by Cheap Audio Man, who felt competing separates could sound substantially better, while Tharbamar considered the price and feature package decent but noted audible phono-stage idle noise.
