Argon Audio FORTE A4 WIFI
Uncompromised quality
The FORTE WIFI speakers offer a true hi-fi experience. With their advanced all-digital amplifier and a fully digital signal path with four separate channels for the tweeters and woofers, along with custom drivers with ultra-low distortion, these speakers deliver a sound experience rich in detail and fantastic dynamics to boot. The built-in amplifier delivers 4 x 80 clean, distortion-free watts, elevating the experience of both music and TV.
All-in-one: wireless stereo, tv sound, and turntables
With FORTE WIFI you can finally experience real stereo sound without compromising ease of use. The added Wi-Fi connectivity makes it easier than ever to stream your favourite tunes in the highest possible quality. Just connect the speakers to your Wi-Fi and you’re ready to rock. You can wake the speakers from standby, pick your favorite tunes and control the volume all directly from your device. No remote needed (even though the remote for these speakers is actually quite nice!)
For the movie buffs, the speakers also carry HDMI ARC support so you get real hi-fi sound from your TV. The speakers will automatically turn on and off with the TV and can be controlled by your TV remote. As if that weren't enough, there is also a phono input for your turntable, AUX and optical inputs for external sources, and a sub out for your subwoofer. They’re plug-and-play – all you need to do is find a power outlet and interconnect the speakers (power and speaker cables included).
Scandinavian heritage
Our speakers are made to be seen. Just like all our other products, the FORTE-series is designed and engineered in Denmark, which is honored in the speakers’ minimalist Scandinavian design. From the high-end lacquer finish to the magnetic front fabric grille – everything is meticulously chosen to ensure that these speakers don’t just add to your sound system, but also to your décor. Finally a speaker where the exterior is as stunning as its performance.

Argon Audio’s compact FORTE A4 WIFI brings crisp, contoured bass, lively dynamics and a satisfyingly full-bodied balance to desktops and smaller rooms. Jörg Dames found its output remarkably stable for the size, while Wi-Fi streaming, HDMI ARC, phono and subwoofer connectivity make this a seriously versatile all-in-one. Its energetic, high-resolution character favours musical immediacy over polite restraint.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Pros
Crisp, well-contoured bass delivers unusually satisfying impact and remains stable at higher levels for a compact 4-inch active speaker.
Lively, engaging tuning combines strong dynamics, good treble detail and a full-bodied midrange.
Extensive connectivity includes Wi-Fi streaming, HDMI ARC, optical, line and MM phono inputs, plus subwoofer output.
&
Cons
Treble is detailed but not especially airy, falling short of the finest harmonic refinement.
The noticeable loudness-style voicing can make vocals sound forward and may not suit listeners seeking strict neutrality.
Streaming implementation showed teething issues, including slow Play-Fi startup, no gapless playback and reported Chromecast interruptions.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 84/100
The A4 WiFi is described as an energetic, uncomplicated compact speaker with a deliberately full, lively balance. Its controlled, forceful bass and sonorous vocal range are its strongest assets, while the top end sacrifices some air and the review offers little direct assessment of its stereo staging.
Bass
87/100
For a compact 4-inch speaker, the A4's bass impressed the reviewer with its crisp, well-contoured delivery and stable output at level. It adds a little extra weight rather than being completely dry or neutral, but avoids blur and bloat.
Mid
86/100
The tonal balance favours body and fundamentals, giving strings, voices and guitars a notably sonorous character. A noticeable loudness-style voicing makes voices more forward, which should suit listeners wanting immediacy but may not appeal to those seeking strict neutrality.
Treble
84/100
The A4 reveals subtle treble information and was found to capture more nuance than the compared Elac Adsum. Its presentation is not especially airy, however, and relative treble prominence can make some voices sound brighter without delivering the finest overtone detail.
Soundstage Imaging
75/100
The review does not provide direct observations on the A4 WiFi's soundstage width, depth, image focus or placement sensitivity. Comments about exceptional staging in the review concern the larger A55 rather than this compact model.
Dynamics
87/100
The reviewer characterises the WiFi range as powerful, dynamically responsive and stable at higher listening levels. That suggests the A4 is designed to sound lively and assured rather than restrained, though the model-specific discussion is limited.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
83/100
The range is described as having tidy, scratch-resistant matte or walnut finishes, softly shaped cabinet edges and contrasting aluminium trim rings. The review says little about internal cabinet construction, crossover parts or long-term durability.
Value for Money
85/100
The A4 WiFi is listed at roughly $499-$699, but the review does not directly judge its value against competing speakers at that price. It praises the price-to-performance ratio of the larger A5 and A55 siblings, yet stops short of making the same explicit claim for the A4.
