Wilson Audio Wilson Audio Subsonic
The Wilson Audio Subsonic is the fraternal twin of the WAMM Master Subsonic. It features the same subwoofer drivers and the same internal volume. The differences lie in the finish details. The metal work in the WAMM Master Subsonic features the prismatic finish that mirrors (no pun intended) the WAMM’s main array gantry. On the Wilson Audio Subsonic, the metal work is from Wilson’s main line finish process—the same level of metal finish that has adorned Wilson products throughout the line.

The Wilson Audio Subsonic is a monumental, front-ported subwoofer built for the lowest octave: three 12-inch woofers, specified response down to 10Hz, and a 505-pound enclosure signal uncompromising scale. Its presence in Best of High End's flagship D’Agostino/XVX system underscores its ultra-high-end intent. For systems demanding deep-bass extension, serious displacement, and reference-system scale, it is a formidable specialist.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Pros
Featured alongside Wilson Audio Master Chronosonic XVX loudspeakers in a flagship D’Agostino system at High End Munich 2025.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Bass
50/100
The supplied review does not describe the Subsonic's bass extension, control, texture, or output in listening terms. Its discussion focuses on setup provisions for the accompanying Chronosonic XVX loudspeakers rather than the subwoofer's audible performance.
Integration
50/100
The review discusses careful measurement and time alignment for the XVX speaker system, but does not report whether the Subsonic blends seamlessly, avoids localization, or improves bass integration in the room. There is no subwoofer-specific integration outcome to assess.
Dynamics
50/100
Reviewers provide no direct comments on the Subsonic's impact, transient response, headroom, or behavior at demanding playback levels. The supplied material does not establish how it handles dynamics.
Build Quality
50/100
The supplied review contains no direct observations about the Subsonic's cabinet construction, driver execution, finish quality, or long-term durability. Specifications alone do not provide reviewer evidence of construction quality.
Features Usability
50/100
The review mentions measurement and time-alignment adjustments for the Chronosonic XVX loudspeakers, not controls, connectivity, setup tools, or everyday usability of the Subsonic itself. Reviewers say little about the subwoofer's practical features.
Value for Money
85/100
The available review lists the wider XVX-and-Subsonic system at $329,000 but does not assess the Subsonic's $47,250 asking price against competing subwoofers. It offers no direct view on whether the subwoofer is compelling value within its premium market.
