Line Pre-Amplifier

The PRE II is a pure class A, Output Transfomerless (OTL) line pre-amplifier with Power Valve Output Stage. Employing 6V6 power tubes at the output makes the PRE II a smaller brother to the SW1X PRE IV pre-amplifier, which also employs 6V6 power tubes. It is great enhancement to any tube power amplifier and ideal partner to our Level 1, 2 & 3 DACs and LPU Phono products, reducing their output impedance further and enhancing their sound with fullness and authority. With a help of a PRE II, any source becomes unleashed to drive subsequent power amplifiers to its full potential.

Available with a supercharged LPU Phono stage denoted as PRE II LPX and can be ordered with different series of SW1X Stepped Attenutator Volume Contols.

The Power of Valve Amplification

SW1X Audio products were designed for maximum performance and also to ensure compatibility with majority of audio systems. However, pairing different audio systems may result in impedence or sensitivity mismatch. For maximum musical pleasure, we recommend to pair our products only with our harmonically matched system components. To achieve best possible results, the matching system component should be on equal performance level or alternatively within one level below or above.
