CDP III = DAC III + VDT I/2 Transport & Streamer

CDP is short for Complete DAC Player. Similar to a CD Player, CDP is a Single-Ended (SE) version of a SW1X DAC with a VDT Digital Player/Streamer housed in one chassis.

This is a harmonically matched solution for those who are looking to maximise the musical and analogue characteristics of SW1X digital source without the hassle of mismatch stemming from multiple chassis products.

Everything is designed to be UPnP & DLNA ready- just connect & discover the device on your network & control the playback of your music media via touch screen or another device.

DAC III Section

• Pure NOS (Non oversampling – zero digital domain filtering) Design

• Anode Follower, Zero Negative Feedback, Single Ended, Class A, RC (resistive loaded, capacitive de-coupled) Valve Amplification Topology

• Active I/V conversion via a single specially selected transistor (with less than 10 Ohm input impedance) with the shortest signal path directly connected to the tube grid
• Circuit is wired with of a specially selected copper (single strand or Litz)
• Discrete Transistor Shunt Voltage Regulated Power Supplies for the TDA1541, SPDIF receiver and active I/V conversion
• 3 (4 x on VSB version) x EI core Mains Transformers & 2 x Chokes

SW1X Audio Design audio products were designed for maximum performance and also to ensure compatibility with majority of audio systems. However, for maximum musical pleasure, we recommend to pair our products only with our harmonically matched system components. In order to achieve best possible results, the matching system component should ideally be on the equal performance level or alternatively within one level below or above.
