SIMPLICITY AND STYLE
Lumina takes note of Sonus faber’s iconic natural materials.
SIMPLICITY, STYLE, AND PERFORMANCE
Lumina takes note from core Sonus faber technologies, design, and manufacturing principles – transforming them into a beautifully minimalistic masterpiece, made in Italy.
MIDRANGE
The 5” midrange stems from sister designs in the Sonetto collection. It features our proprietary natural fiber and paper blend air-dried diaphragm that delivers Sonus faber’s signature Natural Sound.
WOOFER
The 5’’ woofers were designed from the scratch specifically for this line. They feature a paper pulp cone for a perfect sonic coherence with the rest for the drivers.
TWEETER
The iconic D.A.D. (Damped Apex Dome) tweeter, the same used in the Sonetto Collection, features a Kurtmueller hand coated soft silk diaphragm of 29mm. The chrome rings around the drivers highlight their shapes and proportions and give brightness to the front baffle.
REFLEX PORT
The reflex port, placed at the base in a down-firing position, provides versatility in speaker placement. This sound solution makes Lumina III speakers significantly less sensitive to their placement, delivering superb sound even when placed close to a back wall.

Bass
91/100
Dual 150mm woofers with a downward-firing reflex port deliver fast, punchy and well-controlled bass with respectable extension (several reviewers measured/observed extension near 30Hz in-room). Multiple reviews praised speed, punch and tactile delivery while a few noted it is not the most massively weighted low end, so emphasis is on agility rather than brute authority.
Mid
93/100
Consistently lauded 'voice of Sonus faber' midrange: lush, expressive and focused with strong vocal presence from the dedicated 150mm mid driver. Reviewers describe coherence and natural timbre, though a couple noted a slightly forward/lean presentation in some tracks.
Treble
90/100
Treble is generally refined, open and extended—many reviewers praised sparkle and fine detail—however several listeners reported a tipped-up top end in-room (some sibilance) that can make the highs sound a touch forward on certain recordings or setups.
Soundstage Imaging
92/100
Multiple reviews credit the Lumina III with wide, deep soundstages and precise, stable imaging; instruments and vocals map cleanly with good layering. Reviewers found the speakers throw an image larger than their size, with strong focus and instrument separation.
Dynamics
90/100
Speakers deliver lively micro- and macro-dynamics with quick attack and authoritative slam for their size; several reviewers noted excellent punch and retained composure at loud levels. Some nuance at the extremes of microdynamics was reported as slightly less than reference-class units.

Build Quality
91/100
Fit and finish are excellent for the price with Sonus faber styling cues (leather-wrapped surfaces, attractive baffle ply) and rigid, well-damped cabinets. Reviewers called the construction solid and free of obvious cabinet resonances.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive tower baseline applied: two pairs of high-quality binding posts (bi-wire/bi-amp capable) and a downward-firing reflex port with integral plinth and spikes. Feature score capped to passive baseline per rules.
Value for Money
90/100
At ~$2,199/pair reviewers repeatedly called these an 'affordable' Sonus faber and praised the brand-style performance for the money. Multiple reviews highlight the speaker as remarkable value within the brand's lineup and versus similarly priced rivals.
