KEF’s Reference 3 Meta combines visceral, tightly controlled bass with pinpoint imaging, refined treble and expansive, room-filling scale. Steve Guttenberg Audiophiliac found its presentation unusually transparent, dynamically alive and emotionally revealing, while Vinyl Latte praised its clear instrumental separation and deep, punchy lows. This is a superbly resolved full-range floorstander for serious two-channel systems.

Guttenberg found the long-port setup deeper, faster and tighter, with better integration into the Uni-Q array; he also felt more visceral low-end power than from a much larger-woofer Klipsch Cornwall IV. Vinyl Latte likewise heard deep, punchy and well-defined bass that stayed clean and separated from the midrange on bass-heavy material.
