TWEETER 20mm pure magnesium hard dome

The need for even lower distortion and wider bandwidth in high-frequency reproduction capability is becoming more important with the spread of high-quality formats.

RS-2 guarantees ±3dB up to 20KHz and further enhances the reproduction capability of ultra-high frequencies.

In pursuit of high response performance, a pure magnesium diaphragm is used for the first time in the world as a hard dome tweeter material.

In pursuit of the best reproducibility of vocals and narration, new technologies were applied not only to the materials but also to the magnetic circuit with neodymium magnets and the support structure.

In order to pursue reproduction performance to the utmost limit and eliminate even the smallest distortion, a “damper-less” structure was adopted for the support structure of the vibration system.

The magnetic circuit uses a “repulsive magnetic circuit” structure to hold the voice coil together with a magnetic fluid with high magnetic flux.

In addition, an ultra-lightweight seamless carbon bobbin, a voice coil using copper/silver alloy wire, and a high-carbon cast iron frame are used to eliminate unwanted incidental sounds.

WOOFER 300mm HP woofer

The woofer section, which supports the low frequency range of the RS-N2, uses an alnico magnet. The latest paper-making technology, “radial paper-making”, is used to achieve low distortion and natural mid-high frequency characteristics.

A double damper structure is adopted to support the voice coil symmetrically in order to eliminate unnecessary distortion caused by the structure and to provide extremely accurate movement of the voice coil.

An ideal support mechanism is realized by using UDR tangential dampers with excellent linearity.
