Bluetooth® & USB connectivity A new innovation in desktop speakers

Active speakers with built-in Bluetooth and USB-DAC for enjoying subs music and video streaming with high-quality sound.
The speakers are equipped with a "MUSIC/VOICE" mode switching function that allows the user to switch sound quality according to the application, such as listening to PC audio or monitoring video streaming, while the DSP provides precise adjustment. The system provides a powerful sound space on the desktop for PC sound sources, subscriber music and video, entertainment, and games.

Features

"MUSIC / VOICE" mode switch for switching sound quality according to the type of sound source being played.

The “MUSIC” mode is suitable for PC audio, listening with smartphones, DTM, etc. The “VOICE” mode is suitable for monitoring mainly voice, such as narration on Internet distribution.

Input sources are digital (Bluetooth / USB) and analog (AUX).

Multiple inputs can be switched, such as Bluetooth for smartphones, USB for PCs, and analog for audio interfaces.

Newly designed 75 mm woofer and 19 mm soft dome tweeter.

The glass fiber diaphragm woofer and silk dome tweeter, combined with precise sound quality adjustment by DSP, provide high-quality sound that is compatible with high-resolution sound sources, from low frequencies with a rich sense of volume to taut midrange and extended high frequencies.

Separated the structure of the enclosure and amplifier section.

The enclosure is made of wood for natural resonance. The active speaker (right side) has a structure that separates the enclosure from the amplifier section to isolate unnecessary air vibration of circuit components caused by sound inside the enclosure and to bring out the full performance of the 15 W + 15 W digital amplifier. Furthermore, the passive speaker (left side) has the same volume as the left and right enclosures through the same separation structure to suppress the difference in sound quality caused by the difference in volume between the left and right enclosures.

Volume control and input source selection are available on the front panel.

The volume knob and input selector on the front of the main unit ensure excellent operability.

Equipped with subwoofer connection terminal

A dedicated terminal is provided for easy connection of an active subwoofer, such as PM-SUBmini2, which enhances the realism and power of live performances.

UL Energy Verified certification for superior energy-saving performance.

Power saving mode is provided to reduce power consumption after 15 minutes of silence. The power saving mode can be turned ON/OFF with the switch on the rear panel.

Overall Score 81/100

Rating for [object Object]

Nicely Roasted

Small but revealing, the PM0.3BD delivers a refined treble and focused midrange that suit desk/nearfield listening. Its compact cabinets and onboard 15W-per-channel amp give confident imaging, while flexible I/O — including USB‑C and Bluetooth 5.0 — makes it versatile for modern setups. Marc Rushton highlighted the attractive desktop package.

Pros

  • Smooth, detailed treble and present mids that deliver clear vocals and detail in nearfield use.
  • Wide connectivity: USB‑C DAC, Bluetooth 5.0 (SBC/AAC), AUX and RCA sub‑out for modern desktop flexibility.
  • Compact, well‑specified desktop package with solid build and included cables/accessories, delivering focused imaging for nearfield setups.

&

Cons

  • Limited low‑frequency extension (specified down to ~100 Hz), so deeper bass will often require a subwoofer.
  • Modest 15 W + 15 W amplification limits macro dynamics and loudness for larger-room listening.

Sound Quality

80/100

Bass

70/100

75 mm (≈3") cone woofer and specified frequency response down to 100 Hz indicate limited low-frequency extension for a small sealed/ported monitor. Ported bass-reflex design may add a bit of perceived weight, but the 100 Hz lower bound means users will likely need a sub for full bass on most music.

Mid

84/100

Two-way design with a 75 mm woofer and soft-dome tweeter suggests focused, present mids. Active amplification and nearfield/desktop use should give clear, well-defined midrange and vocal presence for typical listening distances.

Treble

85/100

19 mm soft-dome tweeter and claimed extension to 40 kHz point to smooth, extended treble. Soft-dome topology tends toward refinement without harshness, so detail and air are likely good for the class.

Soundstage Imaging

84/100

Compact two-way active monitors with onboard amplification and small cabinets typically image well in nearfield setups. The PM0.3BD's size and active design should yield good focus and stereo separation for desktop/nearfield listening.

Dynamics

80/100

Built-in 15 W + 15 W amplification provides modest headroom appropriate for desktop use; sufficient micro-dynamic detail but limited macro punch at loud volumes. Best suited to nearfield listening where the power is adequate.

Build Quality

82/100

Compact enclosure (110 x 212 x 133 mm) and included accessories (speaker cable, USB, power adapter) indicate a well-considered package. Fostex monitor lineage suggests solid construction and finish for the price/class.

Features Connectivity

92/100

Active monitor with USB-C (44.1–96 kHz, 16/24-bit), Bluetooth 5.0 (Class 1, SBC/AAC), AUX, and RCA sub-out—very flexible for desktop and mobile sources. Includes power adapter and various cables; broad connectivity is a strong point.

Value for Money

80/100

Price not provided. Given the feature set (USB DAC, Bluetooth, sub-out) and compact active design, the unit looks competitively specified for desktop monitoring; exact value assessment limited by missing retail price and peer comparisons.
