Lumene launches a new generation of motorised screens

The Coliseum Silent ushers in a new generation of Lumene motorised projection screens. Designed to meet the demands of the most ambitious home cinema installations, it succeeds the Coliseum range with an entirely new motor system, completely redesigned electronics and a cleaner, more refined design.

Quieter, more reliable and easier to install, the Coliseum Silent delivers an even smoother user experience while ensuring uncompromised image quality. With this new range, Lumene confirms its ambition to offer premium solutions capable of meeting the needs of both dedicated cinema rooms and high-end residential installations.

New Features:

1) Tailored intelligent control

• Precise limit adjustment

• Compatible with all installations

The screen fabric can be adjusted with a very high degree of precision thanks to electronic limit control, allowing the user to configure the end stops exactly according to the room.

The screen integrates with all home automation systems and can be controlled via multiple protocols, including RS485, dry contacts, 433 MHz radio frequency, infrared and a 12 V trigger.

• S-curve algorithm

The screen incorporates an exclusive S-curve motion-control algorithm that regulates acceleration and deceleration. This state of-the-art technology ensures smooth, quiet transitions.

This specific motion profile eliminates sudden jolts and prevents excessive tension on the fabric, thereby preserving the screenʼs perfect flatness over the years.

3) New 20W DC Motor - designed to last

• Noise level below 50 dB
• More than 20,000 cycles
• 110 to 240 V power supply

At the heart of the Coliseum Silent is an entirely new 20-watt DC motor. Operating from a universal 110 to 240 volt power supply, it eliminates the need for an external transformer.

The motor features electromagnetic shielding, giving it excellent resistance to interference. Its main advantage is virtually imperceptible operation, with a measured noise level below 50 decibels. Its  premium construction provides an expected service life of more than 20,000 operating cycles.

4) New Mounting System - optimised protection

The protective casing features a sealed construction combined with a dedicated grounding system. This system dissipates static electricity generated by friction, preventing dust attraction and
protecting the electronics from damage.

Installation is made easier by new L-shaped brackets that are slimmer and more robust, providing secure wall or ceiling mounting.
