Verto D3 tube DAC and Asterion V3 tube phono preamplifier join the acclaimed Virtus A3 integrated amplifier, expanding Canor’s Performance Line range.

Canor Audio, the Slovakian high-end electronics specialist, is debuting two additions to its Performance Line: the Verto D3 tube DAC and the Asterion V3 tube phono preamplifier - discover them at High-End Vienna: Level -2, Stand -2.32. Both products embody Canor’s longstanding commitment to combining advanced engineering with the warmth and musicality of valve-based circuitry.

Canor Verto D3 — Tube DAC

The Verto D3 is a statement digital-to-analogue converter built around a fully balanced, dual-mono discrete architecture. Its output stage is driven by four carefully matched E88CC tubes operating in pure Class A, delivering the dynamics and naturalness that Canor believes only valves can provide to digital sources.

Galvanically isolated digital inputs eliminate noise contamination between sources, while a powerful multi-core XMOS microcontroller handles signal processing with precision. The Verto D3 supports PCM playback up to 768 kHz and DSD up to Native DSD512 — a speci that places it firmly at the cutting edge of digital replay.

The chassis combines machined aluminium and steel, and features a touchscreen integrated into the precision-bearing control knob for intuitive, ergonomic operation. Firmware updates are supported via USB.

The Verto D3 is available in Black and Silver, with an SRP of £3799.

Canor Asterion V3 — Tube Phono Preamplifier

The Asterion V3 brings the same level of engineering ambition to analogue sources. This tube-based phono preamplifier supports both MM and MC cartridges, with balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) MC inputs and extensive variability in resistance and capacitance loading, allowing listeners to optimise performance for virtually any cartridge.

A top-of-the-line Lundahl step-up transformer handles MC amplification, preserving signal integrity with minimal noise. The RIAA correction curve is implemented using a fully passive network built with high-quality polystyrene and polypropylene capacitors. Two cartridges (one MM, one MC) can be connected simultaneously and switched between seamlessly.

Control is handled via a touchscreen integrated into the front panel, with a precision-bearing control knob and a versatile remote control for full operation from the listening position. The chassis is constructed from aluminium and steel.

The Asterion V3 is available in Black and Silver, with an SRP of £4199.
