Hana Hana ML
Building upon the foundation of the critically acclaimed HANA sound, the ML aspires toward affordable perfection and represents the further evolution of the “Brilliant and Gorgeous” quality that has earned HANA its worldwide reputation.
M Series Nude Microline stylus – Higher Specification Part
Befitting its name, the M Series uses a Nude Microline stylus, mimicking the cutting stylus and fitting more precisely into the vinyl groove. This enhances tracking to capture the most delicate musical details with better frequency reproduction, stereo imaging, and resolution.
High Purity copper wire – Higher Specification Part
The coil of the ML's new low-impedance generator—the same generator used in the Hana Umami Blue—is wound with a very high-purity copper wire. Implementing the new generator optimizes performance and provides superior matching with a broader range of phono preamps.
Delrin© cartridge body – Advanced Materials
The M Series cartridge body is injection molded from Delrin©, a high-tech polymer with improved mechanical characteristics for better resonance damping, to reveal more low-level information and enhance dynamic range.
Cryogenic Processing - Unique Technical Treatment
Cryogenic processing is Cold Annealing at near absolute zero temperature that restructures metals at the molecular level, especially important in the Alnico-based magnetic electro-motive circuit (cartridge signal generator). The M Series parts treated include the front yoke as well as the center and rear components. The result is a more precise and controlled magnetic flux field for greater linearity and musical sound quality.
Brass Cap with Threaded fittings - Superior Mechanical Interface
The Delrin© cartridge body features a machined brass cap providing constrained mode layer damping and its heavier 9.5 gram weight provides expanded compatibility with a wider range of tonearms and turntables.
Built into the M Series Delrin© cartridge body are metal threaded fittings for headshell mounting hardware, offering easier attachment and a superior mechanical interface for better bass and dynamics.

Value for Money
96/100
The Hana ML pairs a MicroLine stylus with a richly refined, full-bodied sound: deep bass, poised vocals, and an open, natural soundstage. Hi-Fi Choice heard some initial tonal darkness, but StereoNET United Kingdom and Part Time Audiophile praised its detail, dynamics, and long-listen appeal.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Pros
Delivers a refined, full-bodied presentation with strong bass weight, natural mids, and airy treble.
Excellent detail retrieval and separation, with the MicroLine stylus uncovering subtle cues cleanly.
Strong imaging and soundstage depth make instruments and voices feel tangible and well organized.
Widely praised for exceptional value, often described as competing with much pricier cartridges.
&
Cons
Can sound a little tonally dark at first and may lack treble energy before settling in.
The MicroLine stylus is more alignment-sensitive than simpler profiles, so setup needs care.
Bass can sound slightly soft on some very deep, powerful recordings.
Rhythmic drive can feel a touch restrained versus some rivals.
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 94/100
Reviewers consistently describe the Hana ML as refined, full-bodied, and musically engaging, with a natural midband, solid bass, and a treble that stays airy rather than etched. Several writers also call out its poise on vocals and its ability to make records flow in a relaxed, inviting way.
Overall Sound
95/100
The cartridge is repeatedly praised for a natural, full-bodied presentation with strong tonal balance. Reviewers call it refined, rich, warm without becoming thick, and notably easy to listen to for long sessions.
Tracking Retrieval
93/100
The MicroLine stylus is credited with excellent detail retrieval and strong groove-hunting ability, with comments about pulling subtle information out of the mix and handling complex passages cleanly. Reviewers also note good control on dynamics and little sign of strain, though one mentions the alignment can be a bit fussy.
Soundstage Imaging
92/100
Imaging and space are described very positively, with comments about fine separation, a believable sense of delay, strong depth of image, and instruments seeming to occupy real space. The stage is not portrayed as artificially huge, but it is consistently praised for being open, organized, and convincing.
FEATURES USABILITY PERFORMANCE 86/100
The Hana ML is said to be a sensible 9.5g match for many arms and several reviewers found it compatible with a wide range of turntables and phono stages. The main usability caution is that the MicroLine profile is fussier to align than simpler styli, so it is not the easiest cartridge for absolute beginners.
Tonearm Compatibility
86/100
Reviewers say it mounts up just fine, suits most arms, and its weight makes matching relatively straightforward. The main caveat is alignment sensitivity from the MicroLine stylus, plus the need to think about loading or step-up support in some systems.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
90/100
Reviewers like the Delrin body, brass plate, threaded inserts, and the use of a nude MicroLine stylus on an aluminum cantilever. There is also positive mention of the cryogenic treatment, copper wiring, and generally careful execution, although the reviews focus more on design and materials than long-term durability.
Value for Money
96/100
Value commentary is extremely strong: reviewers call it a shining star among affordable low-output moving coils, say it could be sold for roughly twice the price and still be welcomed, and describe it as excellent at the asking price. It is repeatedly framed as a cartridge that competes with, and in some cases threatens, pricier rivals.
