Audium Comp 5X Active

The  Comp 5X Active is the fully active version of our award-winning Comp 5  full-range loudspeaker.
The active version makes an amplifier needless - you can connect your audio  source, e.g. a network streamer or computer, directly to the loudspeaker.
This is made possible by a specially developed two-channel amplifier  module. This drives the fullrange driver and the oval 6x9" woofer built  into the base, each with a separate power amplifier.
The integrated DSP takes on the work of a classic crossover and also  enables the speaker to be adapted to your listening room and your personal  listening habits.
In the X-version of the Comp 5 we made a lot of updates and modifications to the well established predecessors.The newly constructed baffle optimizes sonic refractions resulting in an even more flat frequency response you would never expect from a single fullrange driver. Further more, we vibration-decoupled the baffle from the cabinet  and optimised the bottom plate against resonances.This results in an even more vivid, threedimensional and stable reproduction of all music-material. Further more, this modifications give the speakers a slimmer and more straightforward apearance. This takes them more out of the acoustical stage and makes them less dominant in your living / listening room.Also the finished / veneers have been updated. Step by Step we will introduce Black and White Silk-matte and walnut / oak. High Gloss black and white and Mocca will remain available also.
