Description

With hundreds of hours of real world testing, ASC’s unique solution is the best acoustical soffit available anywhere. Acousticians and architects have known for hundreds of years that a soffit is an excellent sound diffuser.  ASC improved the idea to include deep bass & midrange absorption and lateral scattering in the treble range. As a bonus, the hollow interior allows you to install lighting, conceal wire runs & conduit, or build around HVAC ducts.

The bulk of an AcousticSoffit system is usually built in 24″ long sections. Subtract 16″ for each of the “corner tiles” and then determine how many pieces you need for your wall’s length. We build all but one of the pieces for each wall segment, and you provide final measurements for us to build you a perfect-fitting “keystone” to complete the installation.

When floor real estate is precious, the ASC AcousticSoffit is the answer to your bass trapping, treble control, and diffusion needs.  By utilizing a large air cavity surrounded by a flow-resistive membrane made from porous absorptive material, the AcousticSoffit provides the benefits of flat wall panels and large-diameter free standing TubeTraps in a tidy, easy-to-install package.

This is a custom engineered product, sized specifically to integrate into your room and make it sound and look its best.  Our standard size unit protrudes 16″ from the wall and 10″ down from the ceiling, which works very well for most rooms. This treatment is roughly equivalent to installing 16″ TubeTraps along the entire length of your wall/ceiling intersection!
