Combining 200W per channel with Western Electric 300B finesse, the BRAMA delivers flawless tonality, expansive imaging and breathtaking dynamic contrasts. A solid-billet aluminum chassis, balanced connectivity and sophisticated control make this a commanding, no-compromise integrated amplifier.

What Reviewers Are Saying

"This amplifier, quite frankly, does it all, at least for me. Wildly recommended."

— Part Time Audiophile

"The result is exceptional audio fidelity with lightning-fast transient response, immersing listeners in every detail of their music."

— Best of High End

"Vinnie’s insistence on the Western Electric 300Bs for use in the gen2 Brama Integrated Amplifier, which costs about three times as much as the L2-i, tells me that with all of his research and those long listening sessions the WEs were the ones he loved the most."

Pros

Exceptionally lifelike, tonally convincing sound with fine low-level detail.

Expansive, precisely layered soundstage with strong imaging and convincing bass scale.

Powerful, controlled dynamics and broad loudspeaker compatibility, including demanding designs.

Exceptional chassis machining, intuitive remote operation and extensive balanced connectivity.

SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 95/100

Review coverage describes an exceptionally revealing, lifelike amplifier with rich but convincing tone, exceptional dynamic contrasts, and unusually immersive spatial presentation. Its combination of 300B input-stage character and powerful Class AB output is portrayed as both musically natural and highly authoritative with demanding speakers.

Transparency Resolution

94/100

Marc Phillips found the Brama gifted at exposing every element of a recording, including distinctions between studio effects and intentional artistic choices. He also praised the amount of detail and the ability to follow fine activity across the recorded space, while Best of High End cites a near-silent noise floor.

Tonal Balance Musicality

96/100

The strongest recurring praise concerns tone: Part Time Audiophile calls its tonality flawless and says music feels genuinely real and present. Best of High End likewise describes breathtaking realism and rich tonality from the 300B stage, supporting a presentation that is vivid without being portrayed as analytical or sterile.

Dynamics

95/100

Part Time Audiophile describes dynamic contrasts as breathtaking and reports that the amplifier has more than enough power. The 200W-per-channel rating, 2-ohm stability, and high-current Class AB output are accompanied by reports of authoritative speaker control and lightning-fast transient response.

Soundstage Imaging

95/100

Phillips describes a stage so deep and information-rich that he could explore its nooks and crannies, alongside strong imaging and convincing low-octave scale even through compact monitors. Fine spatial cues, including footsteps moving across the stage, were rendered with striking clarity.

Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.

Build Quality

94/100

Reviewers describe the 50-pound chassis as unusually dense and solid, with a seamless enclosure milled from a solid aluminum billet. Coverage also points to careful internal isolation and a precision-machined aluminum power-supply compartment, while the remote receives similarly favorable attention for its machined construction.

Features Connectivity

90/100

The Brama is an analogue-focused design, but it is unusually accommodating within that approach: it provides five balanced XLR inputs, a volume-controlled balanced line output, adjustable gain, input memory, and home-theater bypass. It also includes Brama Link for bi-amplification, USB-C firmware support, and a rechargeable Bluetooth-connected aluminum remote, though there is no onboard DAC, streaming platform, phono stage, or headphone output.

Value for Money

87/100

At $47,995, the Brama is positioned firmly in the ultra-premium integrated-amplifier market and costs roughly three times as much as Vinnie Rossi's earlier L2-i, according to Audiophilepure. Part Time Audiophile nevertheless calls it “wildly recommended,” with its unusually high power, extensive balanced connectivity, and highly praised performance helping support the premium asking price.
