Van den Hul MCS – 150 S (halogen free)

This is a flexible single strand very pure Matched Crystal Silver wire with a metal diameter of 150 micron.
Its extrusion manufacturing process yields a very superior quality without any inter-crystal signal losses.

• The resistance is 88.5 Ohm/100 meter.
• This wire is available in red with an external diameter of: 0.16 mm.
• The insulation is made of a special type of polyurethane.
• The maximal mechanical force this wire can handle is 36 gram.
• Maximal temperature handling is 280 °C (= 536 °F).
• Typical use of this wire is as an interconnect between sensors on the human body and outside equipment where signal-loss and deterioration free operation is a must.
• Also transmitter coils can be made from the MCS – 150 S.
• And the application as voice-coil wire is obvious.
• This wire also works very fine in pre-pre-amplifiers and pre-amplifiers due to the extreme low signal losses per meter. Values of less than 3 picoVolt/meter are actual.
