Roksan Caspian 4G Integrated Amplifier

The review describes notably realistic dialogue and a convincing recreation of the St. Jude-On-The-Hill recording venue. Delicate soprano vocals remain intact while dense rock material stays compelling, suggesting strong clarity across varied material.

Musical involvement is a central strength: the reviewer calls the amplifier sonically exceptional and says it repeatedly encouraged extended listening. The phono stage is also praised as an extremely good musical communicator, while acoustic music had both finesse and vitality.

Rated at 105W into 8 ohms and 200W into 4 ohms, the dual-mono amplifier was reported to sound commanding even from cold. Film action sequences had enough power and impact to make the listeners physically react, while music retained vitality when required.

The reviewer heard a wide, deep stage with performers clearly placed in front of and behind one another. Large choral material expanded a modest living room into the perceived space of a huge auditorium, producing a particularly immersive result.

Fit and finish are described as absolutely first rate, and the 15kg amplifier is said to feel extremely well built. The reviewer considered its construction substantial enough to last for decades, while the remote was also praised for its tactile feel.

Connectivity is unusually comprehensive, including three RCA line-input pairs, balanced XLR inputs, an MM phono stage, coaxial and optical digital inputs, and both RCA and XLR pre-outs. It also provides three 12V trigger sockets, app connectivity and a well-executed remote control, although there is no streaming platform or HDMI input mentioned.

At £3,000 in the UK at the time of review, The Ear explicitly calls the Caspian 4G a genuine audio bargain. The reviewer was emphatic enough to say they would happily place it at the heart of their own system and never look back.
