The Evolution of an Idea

For more than thirty years, INPOL technology has been at the heart of the Pathos philosophy. A proprietary architecture that has enabled a unique approach to audio amplification, combining the naturalness and harmonic richness of tubes with the control and driving capability required by the most demanding loudspeakers.

Over the years, this technology has been continuously refined through research, experience and listening. Projects such as Adrenalin demonstrated the full potential of the Double INPOL configuration, while the development of INPOL Squared and later INPOL Legacy led to a significant evolution of the solutions adopted by Pathos. From power supply design to component selection, from transformers to internal wiring, every element has been studied, tested and refined.

The experience gained through these projects opened the door to new solutions capable of further improving stability, current delivery, control and musical naturalness. Every refinement was evaluated not only for its technical merit, but also for its contribution to the listening experience and its ability to reproduce music with greater authenticity.

Every aspect of INPOL Diamond’s electronic design has been developed to deliver a musical presentation that combines absolute control, instantaneous dynamics and natural tonal balance.

At its core lies the established Double INPOL architecture operating in pure Class A with unity gain, supported by a completely redesigned power supply section developed from the experience gained through Pathos’ most advanced projects. The increased bias current provides greater current delivery and even more authoritative loudspeaker control, while preserving all the musical qualities that define the INPOL philosophy.

Two high-quality toroidal transformers, built to dedicated specifications, work alongside 110,000 µF of filtering capacity and substantial copper bus bars designed to distribute the high currents required by the output stages without limitation.

The voltage amplification stage, the true amplifier within every INPOL design, employs a pair of Tung-Sol ECC803S tubes alongside a Sovtek 6H30. . In this configuration, the musical signal is entrusted to the tubes, responsible for the entire voltage gain and the harmonic richness that characterizes the listening experience.

Particular attention has also been given to component selection. Shielded copper and silver wiring, high-end audio capacitors and premium-grade connections help preserve signal integrity throughout the entire circuit path.

Stabilized, heat-managed and carefully filtered power supplies, supported by dedicated transformers, ensure optimal operating conditions for every stage of the circuit, minimizing interference and maximizing stability.

Every solution has been chosen with a single objective: to allow the amplifier to operate with complete naturalness even under the most demanding conditions, transforming available energy into music, without compromise.

Material, Form and Craftsmanship

INPOL Diamond is the result of a manufacturing philosophy that values direct control over every critical stage of production. From aluminum machining to painting, from the creation of the Padouk wood elements to final assembly, much of the process takes place in-house, where craftsmanship and engineering expertise coexist under the same roof.

The same attention extends to the selection of suppliers and materials. Transformers, metalwork and numerous components are produced by specialized Italian companies, often located close to Pathos headquarters, according to specifications developed specifically for this project.

Its aesthetic identity is equally driven by function. The substantial aluminum heat sinks, derived from the proprietary Pathos extrusion that echoes the company’s logo, provide highly effective thermal management while defining the unmistakable visual character of the amplifier.

Polished stainless-steel surfaces create a sophisticated interplay of reflections that enhances the presence of the tubes, while the imposing dimensions and 90-kilogram weight testify to a product developed without compromise and without limitations imposed by cost or size constraints.
