Using the BluOS Controller app, you can cue up music from dozens of different streaming and Web radio services, or play music stored on an external drive connected to the C 700 V2’s USB port. New for V2 is a Moving Magnet phono stage, so you can connect your turntable without needing an external preamp.
Like all BluOS-enabled components, the C 700 V2 supports high-resolution audio to 24-bit/192kHz, and has full MQA decoding and rendering capability. With these features, you can enjoy lossless and high-resolution audio from services such as Amazon Music Ultra HD, Deezer, Qobuz, and Tidal.
The C 700 V2 supports Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect, so you can control playback from the apps for those services; and Apple AirPlay 2, so you can stream music from Apple devices and iTunes libraries. You can also cue up music by voice, using the Amazon Alexa or Apple Siri voice control protocols.

NAD C 700 V2 — compact, full‑featured BluOS streaming amplifier
The NAD C 700 V2 pairs a muscular, musical amplifier with modern streaming smarts, led by a ESS Sabre ES9028 DAC and native BluOS streaming. Reviewers praise its tonal balance and precise imaging, with generous headroom for lively, controlled bass and articulate treble — a combination highlighted by SoundStage Solo and Sound Advice. Connectivity is a standout: HDMI eARC, two‑way aptX HD Bluetooth, MM phono, sub out and Dirac Live readiness expand use from focused two‑channel listening to TV and 4.1 BluOS surround, as noted by ecoustics. The compact aluminum chassis and high‑def display feel premium, making the C 700 V2 an attractive all‑in‑one for listeners who want a streamlined system with upgrade paths for room correction and surround.
Pros
- Musical, well‑balanced sound with precise imaging and strong transient control.
- Extensive modern connectivity — BluOS streaming, eARC for TV, two‑way aptX HD Bluetooth, MM phono and sub/pre outputs — makes it versatile for music and home theatre.
- Compact, premium build with a clear color display and thoughtful packaging; fits well in small systems without sacrificing finish quality.
&
Cons
- Phono input requires higher gain and was reported to pick up electrical interference on some setups, so dedicated phono preamps or properly grounded turntables may be preferable.
- Dirac Live room‑correction capability requires purchasing a separate license and microphone, which adds to the overall cost for that feature.
Sound Quality
89/100
Dynamics
88/100
The amp delivers articulate, rhythmically engaging performance with generous headroom and control for its 80–100W class (Sound Advice, SoundStage). Reviewers note it isn't 'seismic' but handles transients and timing effortlessly; minor caveats around phono-level gain issues and some interference when using the phono input were reported (SoundStage Solo).
Soundstage Imaging
90/100
Multiple reviewers praised precise imaging, depth and an expansive, well-focused soundstage—vocals and percussion are placed with clarity and stability (SoundStage Solo, Sound Advice). HDMI eARC / Dolby Digital support also improves movie/dialogue staging in TV setups.

Build Quality
88/100
Build and industrial design are described as solid and premium for the class: aluminum chassis, high-def color display and thoughtful packaging (ecoustics, SoundStage Solo). Internals are no-nonsense and fit-and-finish are good, with a pleasant remote and tidy presentation.
Features Connectivity
94/100
Very well featured for a streaming integrated: BluOS multiroom streaming, Gigabit Ethernet/Wi‑Fi5, AirPlay 2, two-way aptX HD Bluetooth, advanced ESS DAC, HDMI eARC, optical/coaxial digital inputs, USB, MM phono, sub out and stereo pre-out; Dirac Live support is provided (license required) (Sound Advice, SoundStage Solo, ecoustics). The combination of high-quality DAC + BluOS streaming + eARC makes this a fully featured package for its price.
Value for Money
90/100
At around $1,999 reviewers place the C 700 V2 near the top of its segment—an attractive all-in-one streaming amp that 'needs to be on your shortlist' under $2k (Sound Advice). Caveats (extra Dirac license cost and a phono input that may require higher gain and be susceptible to interference) temper the enthusiasm but do not negate the strong proposition overall.
