Merrill Audio ELEMENT 110 Power Amplifier Monoblocks
The ELEMENT 110 provides big power with the Gallium Nitride (GaN) Transistors and the ELEMENT 110 punching well above the power ratings. Use the ELEMENT 110 on power hungry speaker that like 300 watts of power and enjoy the punch, the black background, the sweetness of the music and the delight of the detail, all rendered with wonderful smoothness.
Using the wonderful, faster speed of the GaN Transistor, Merrill Audio brings down the price of the famous ELEMENT series of amplifiers while keeping the smoothness of the ELEMENT series design.
The ELEMENT 110 Monoblocks power amplifiers were design to drive hard loads that typically required very high power. Merrill Audio takes advantage of the power supply and GaN Transistors to drive loads down to 1 ohm before the safety circuits kick in. The design was made so the power will double every halving of load impedance.

Merrill Audio ELEMENT 110 Power Amplifier Monoblocks
Hand-built GaN FET monoblocks, the Merrill Audio ELEMENT 110 deliver muscular, sustained current with exceptional transparency and a whisper‑quiet background. Reviewers including Tom Lyle -- Enjoy the Music.com, Marc Phillips / Part Time Audiophile and Dean Waters / Positive Feedback praise its ability to drive demanding loudspeakers (150W/8Ω; 300W/4Ω; 600W/2Ω) without clipping while preserving tight, tuneful bass, fast transients and wide, stable imaging. The amps pair modern Class‑D/GaN speed with high-end cosmetics and mechanical choices — a 7" capacitive touch display, WBT speaker posts, Furutech C19 inlet and GAIA III footers — and a sound that emphasizes timbre and microdetail. Ideal for listeners with revealing front ends or power-hungry speakers who want modern power with analog-like musicality.
Pros
- Exceptional dynamics and headroom — drives difficult speaker loads without clipping and doubles available power as impedance halves, delivering impactful bass and stable performance.
- Very low noise floor and transparent, natural timbral balance with a touch of warmth that preserves microdetail and musical presence.
- High-quality build and thoughtful features — robust aluminum chassis, 7" capacitive touch display, WBT outputs, Furutech C19 power inlet and GAIA III footers for isolation.
&
Cons
- Premium price — the pair is positioned at the high end of the market and may be out of reach for many buyers.
- Requires a 20A/C19 power inlet and appropriate power cord — setup can need special cabling or adapters compared with standard C13-equipped gear.

Dynamics
92/100
Monoblock GaN Class-D design delivers exceptional headroom, slam and current delivery — reviewers repeatedly noted the amps' ability to drive demanding loads (doubling power with halving impedance and stable to very low impedances) and never running out of steam. Positive comments about speed, ‘effortless’ power, and the lack of clipping even at high levels (PT.Audio, Positive Feedback, EnjoyTheMusic) support a top-tier dynamics rating for this power class.
Soundstage Imaging
90/100
Consistently cited as producing expansive, stable soundstages with precise imaging — listeners reported enveloping, tape-like presentation and preserved staging even at high levels. Multiple reviews note excellent channel separation and natural spatial cues, indicating the amps maintain fine imaging under demanding conditions (EnjoyTheMusic, Part Time Audiophile, Positive Feedback).

Build Quality
91/100
Solid, well-finished monoblock construction with high-quality parts: large aluminum chassis, rhodium-plated WBT terminals, Furutech 20A inlet, Gaia III footers and a 7" capacitive touch screen — reviewers called out fit/finish and thoughtful mechanical choices. As monoblocks, they benefit from robust power supplies and layout; no thermal or reliability concerns were raised in the reviews.
Value for Money
89/100
At roughly $12,500–$14,000/pair the Element 110s are described as expensive but reasonably priced for what they deliver — reviewers explicitly call them 'very reasonably priced' given their performance. Considering 150W/8Ω (300W/4Ω, 600W/2Ω), GaN speed, monoblock architecture and the build/features, reviewers judge the price justified relative to peers in the high-end monoblock GaN/Class-D segment.
