Lumin S2

Why LUMIN S2

The original S1 established the S-Series as a home for flagship player technology. S2 brings that philosophy into a new generation, taking the multi-award-winning X1 architecture and combining it with the latest LUMIN processor. Its Dual-Toroid Power Supply and Dual-Stage Regulation are elegantly integrated into a single chassis, while retaining the engineering approach and attention to detail expected from the S-Series.

For the first time in a LUMIN player, S2 also adds digital inputs, allowing external digital sources to benefit from the unique LUMIN ES9038PRO DAC implementation.

Main features

• Award-winning X1 architecture
• X1 Dual ES9038PRO SABRE DAC featuring dual-mono operation
• X1 analogue output stage including Lundahl output transformers
• Dual-toroid power supply now adapted and shielded for internal housing
• NEW digital inputs open up the unique LUMIN ES9038PRO DAC implementation to external digital sources
• Seamless streaming through TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify Connect, KKBOX, Amazon Music, AirPlay, Roon Ready, JPlay, and Audirvana and more... all managed via the LUMIN app for iOS and Android.

X-Series Heritage

LUMIN S2 carries forward the key elements of the X1, including its dual-mono DAC architecture and fully balanced analogue output stage.

LUMIN S2 utilises these top-of-the-range 32-bit, 8-channel DAC chips in a dual-mono configuration. By dedicating a flagship-tier DAC to each channel, we maximise hardware precision and processing headroom. This represents our most advanced implementation of the SABRE platform.

The fully balanced dual-mono analogue output stage features the same Lundahl transformers found in our top-tier players. This design has been a cornerstone of every flagship LUMIN model, ensuring maximum signal isolation and integrity.

The X-series specification toroids have been integrated and shielded for inboard mounting. This provides a streamlined, single-box footprint and retains all the performance benefits of separate analogue and digital power rails.

Digital inputs
