Introduction

Creating a Kharma Exquisite loudspeaker is a long process. Looking for the perfect shape, materials and sound for that sense of graceful elegance you would expect from a handcrafted loudspeaker. The Kharma Exquisite Midi is the smallest speaker from the Exquisite Collection but can easily fill a room with it’s musical performance. A timeless design and technological details beyond imagination are the fundaments of the Exquisite Midi, resulting in a loudspeaker that is worldwide known and loved.

New stand design

Details create the bigger picture..

We have given many thought to the details of this ‘new’ model. Taking everything into account and making no compromise. When looking at a loudspeaker, we see drivers, tweeters, crossovers, cabling but another important aspect is the place where the loudspeakers make contact with the surface – the stand.

We’ve done a lot of research to find a way to minimize the contact surface in order to improve the clarity in the music representation. On this picture you see the details of the stand. However, the most important part is on the inside. Four Tungsten balls 8mm that keep the loudspeaker at a minimum contact surface.

Diamond concave tweeter

Without a doubt the quality is guaranteed by using a Diamond tweeter as a standard in the Exquisite Collection. These high-frequency drivers are true technological wonders. The tweeters have a diamond cone which have been realised by the so called CVD process. With this process incredible stiffness is reached with a minimum of thickness of only 50 μm. Notice a human hair is in the range of 17 to 180 μm. The cone is the most essential part of the tweeter and because this cone is made of Diamond the tweeter is capable to create impressively pure high frequencies.

Pros

  • Exceptionally natural midrange timbre and tonal accuracy that produces deep emotional connection.
  • Wide, precise imaging and one of the deepest, most natural soundstages reported, aided by superb driver integration and time/phase coherence.
  • Meticulous HPL multi-layer cabinet construction and upgraded decoupling deliver top-tier build quality and minimal cabinet resonance.
