Gershman Acoustics Studio II
Gershman Studio II are accredited with unsurpassed transparency, accuracy, neutrality and musicality. Most of the studio monitors days lack the full range capability of producing higher frequencies as well as the low frequencies. The Gershman Studio II are full range Studio Monitors that will provide the entire frequency range, therefore, eliminating the need of using a subwoofer which cannot be fully integrated with the speakers. Made out of 1″thick HDF, curved which further contributes to better imaging and unbelievable, 3D soundstage.
The Gershman Studio II speakers are the smallest made by Gershman Acoustics. They are slightly larger and heavier than most stand-mounted monitors at 17 inches tall, 10 inches wide in the front and 14 inches deep. Probably the first thing you would notice about these speakers is that the fit and finish of the cabinets in piano black is magnificent. And that finish is the first sign of the quality you will find in how these speakers are designed.
The Studio II is a two-way speaker in a sealed box. It uses an eight-inch woofer/midrange driver made from an extra-thick black anodized aluminum driver with a four-layer coil. It also uses a dual-chamber for the one-inch coated silk dome tweeter. The crossovers are handmade with point-to-point soldering.

The Studio II pairs authoritative, punchy low end with uncanny realism, delivering surprisingly deep, fast bass and lifelike mids that place vocals and instruments vividly. Reviewers praised its expansive soundstage, smooth, non‑fatiguing treble and natural transparency, yet it remains easy to drive — a compact monitor that consistently sounds larger than its size. hi-fi+ and TONEAudio MAGAZINE noted these strengths.
Pros
- Authoritative, extended low end that’s fast, tuneful and believable down toward the quoted 28Hz.
- Lifelike, well-textured midrange and vocal presence that reveal detail and scale across genres.
- Wide, deep imaging and a convincing soundfield that places performers with clarity and space.
- High-quality fit and finish and an easy-to-drive sensitivity that works well with modest amplifiers.
&
Cons
- Silk/soft-dome tweeter favors smooth, non-fatiguing treble over the absolute last traces of micro-detail compared with more exotic tweeter materials.
- In very large rooms or for sustained, full-scale orchestral/EDM/arena rock at extreme SPL, some listeners may prefer a larger model or an added subwoofer.

Bass
92/100
For their size (8" woofer, sealed), reviewers repeatedly note deep, authoritative low end and claim extension to ~28Hz. ToneAudio: 'you won’t find yourself itching for a subwoofer' and 'plenty of low-frequency oomph'; hi‑fi+ called the bass 'fast and tuneful' and believable to the quoted 28Hz. Placement and room gain improve extension; reviewer caveat that the 8" can only travel so far is noted.
Mid
92/100
Midrange is repeatedly praised for lifelike timbre, texture and vocal presence. ToneAudio: 'texture revealed' on vocals and 'more than resolving enough' to show component differences; hi‑fi+ described spoken word and vocals as 'extremely life like' and seamless across the band.
Treble
89/100
Soft-dome tweeter delivers smooth, non-fatiguing top end with very good dispersion but is described as not extracting the absolute last molecules of resolution. Reviewers: 'rarely deliver those last few molecules of resolution, but never harsh' (ToneAudio) and praise dispersion aiding soundfield (ToneAudio/hi‑fi+).
Soundstage Imaging
91/100
Imaging and soundfield are standout traits: wide, deep presentation with stable, well-focused images. ToneAudio: 'images ... go well beyond the speaker boundaries' and hi‑fi+: 'each performer their own place' and an immediacy that makes recordings sound like live events.
Dynamics
90/100
Strong micro- and macro-dynamics for the format; drums, percussion and transient detail are punchy and engaging. ToneAudio: 'flutes sound small, and saxophones sound big' and hi‑fi+ noted 'punch and clarity' that can be startlingly immediate.

Build Quality
90/100
High-quality fit and finish with gloss veneers, solid binding posts and careful cabinetry. ToneAudio and hi‑fi+ both note excellent finish (no surface imperfections), magnetic grilles and an attractive, well-executed enclosure.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive bookshelf baseline applied (single pair of high-quality binding posts). Reviewers note user-friendly sensitivity (easy to drive) and magnetic grilles, but no bi-wire/extra connectivity features to justify an uplift.
Value for Money
92/100
Multiple reviewers call out exceptional value at the review price (~$3,995/£3,995) and tone declared an 'Exceptional Value Award'. Note: product data lists a different price range (6700), which would affect value perception, but reviewer language strongly supports a high value score at the stated review pricing.
