Big, room-filling presence with deep, extended bass leads the sound: the 3230 pairs a powerful low end with a relaxed midrange and an airy AMT ribbon tweeter for smooth highs and detailed imaging. Reviewers from The Ear note expansive, realistic staging and a refined, non-fatiguing delivery that rewards space and careful placement.
Pros
- Deep, extended and unforced bass with low distortion that supports strong groove and impact.
- Clear, engaging midrange that renders vocals and acoustic nuance with coherence and emotional weight.
- Expansive, realistic soundstage and imaging when given adequate speaker‑to‑listener distance.
- Robust, high-quality construction and finish—thick veneered cabinets, machined plinths and premium terminals; built in Elipson’s Burgundy factory.
&
Cons
- Treble is deliberately relaxed and the AMT’s vertical/horizontal dispersion can be uneven, so highs may seem subdued from some seating positions.
- Large, tall cabinets are placement‑sensitive—best results often require generous listening distance (several metres) and careful angling; plinth design limits use of spikes for leveling.

Bass
94/100
Dual 210 mm cellulose pulp woofers in a large-volume cabinet deliver deep, extended, and unforced bass: reviewers describe 'serious low end excursion', 'fully extended and unforced' and 'delicious' low end. Minor comments about the bass not being quite as 'solid' as the very tightest designs temper a perfect score.
Mid
93/100
Midrange praised for clarity and emotional delivery: 'voices always well defined', excellent nuance on acoustic material and strong vocal presence. Ceramic mid driver and careful crossover produce coherent, engaging mids that deliver detail without strain.
Treble
87/100
AMT tweeter yields smooth, relaxed highs with wide dispersion but reviewers note subdued top end and altered vertical/horizontal dispersion due to the rectangular ribbon. Very refined and non-fatiguing, but not the most airy/forward treble.
Soundstage Imaging
93/100
Strong depth and stage perspective: reviewers report convincing 'being there' concert effect, good layering and rear extension when speakers are placed at distance. Imaging is realistic and detailed, especially with adequate speaker-to-listener spacing.
Dynamics
92/100
Fluent, energetic presentation with good macro- and micro-dynamics; can be played loudly without obvious compression. Tracks with heavy bass impact provoke major excursion and a strong groove, supporting dynamic credibility.

Build Quality
94/100
Substantial 25–30 mm cabinets, walnut veneer, machined aluminium plinths and quality bi-wire terminals; built in Elipson's Burgundy factory. Materials, bracing and crossover components are described as high quality and well executed.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive tower baseline applied. Features include quality bi-wire terminals (links supplied) and a downward-firing port with spacing plinth for less fussy placement; no DSP/apps expected or penalised.
Value for Money
80/100
Premium-priced, large and well-built speaker that competes with ambitious designs at its price point. Review praises performance and finish but stops short of explicitly calling it exceptional value versus competitors at the same price.
