Flat Frequency Response

EDlFlER MR3 features a flat response covering a wide frequency range from 52Hz to 40kHz. Accordingly, it can reproduce neutral and transparent sound.

Specifically, the dimpled tweeter waveguide brings a flatter and more extended high-frequency response, leads to clearer and more accurate sound reproduction, and ensures consistent sound quality across a wider listening area.

High Resolution Audio

Both the analog audio front end and the Class-D audio amplifier from Texas Instruments feature special configurations to work at 24bit/96kHz, guaranteeing bit-perfect audio conversion and amplification.

"High" knob: Cuts or boosts frequencies above 10kHz by ± 6dB "Low" knob: Cuts or boosts frequencies around 125Hz by ± 6dB

Low Cutoff: Attenuates specified low frequencies to suit the shape and size of your room. Acoustic Space: Compensates for mid and bass boosts to suit speaker placement. Desktop Control: Compensates for desktop reflection of sound waves.

Powerful Enough

The fine-tuned 3.5" mid-low drivers and 1" silk dome tweeters can deliver 18W*2 (RMS) total output power and 92.5dB SPL (peak @ 1 meter). They are suitable for near-field listening and also powerful enough to fill a medium room.

Rich Connectivity

Balanced TRS Input: Features low noise levels for signal transmission and is convenient for connection to your audio interface or audio mixer. RCA and AUX Inputs: Available for simultaneous connection with multiple audio devices. Headphone Output: Facilitates easy headphone connection.

Overall Score 88/100

Rating for [object Object]

Nicely Roasted

The MR3 delivers a detailed nearfield presentation with a flat response to 40kHz, aided by a wave-guided tweeter for controlled dispersion and precise imaging; its balanced TRS input and app-adjustable EQ make it a flexible desktop monitor, while its exceptional value puts class-leading performance into a compact package (Erin's Audio Corner, Paul Rigby).

Erin's Audio Corner

"Exceptional Value: Best speaker in its price category, challenging higher-end models."

Pros

  • Hi-Res certified, extended and neutral on-axis response to 40kHz for clear mids and detailed treble.
  • Balanced TRS plus RCA, AUX and Bluetooth, with app and physical tone controls for versatile desktop connectivity and tuning.
  • Wave-guided tweeter and MDF cabinets yield controlled dispersion and stable nearfield imaging.
  • Outstanding value—reviewers highlight class-leading performance for the MSRP.

&

Cons

  • Limited headroom / maximum SPL (~86dB practical), best suited to nearfield/desktop listening rather than large rooms.
  • Bass extension tops out around 52Hz—good for desktop use but not a substitute for a subwoofer in big spaces.

Sound Quality

88/100

Bass

85/100

3.5" mid-low driver with a stated 52Hz extension and adjustable low-frequency knob. Review highlights flat response to 52Hz and suitable nearfield bass output (desktop use); given the small driver size this is excellent for its class but not subwoofer-level.

Mid

90/100

Review praises Hi-Res certification and flat response across the midband; described as ideal for nearfield listening and useful for audio production/editing, indicating clear, well-bodied mids and accurate timbre.

Treble

89/100

1" silk-dome tweeters with wave-guided design; reviewers note extended response to 40kHz and improved dispersion. No reports of harshness or sibilance—treble is extended, detailed and well controlled for the price.

Soundstage Imaging

88/100

Designed for close/nearfield use with wave-guided tweeters to aid dispersion; reviewers report good clarity and stable imaging within a desktop listening angle, making staging purposeful for its intended placement.

Dynamics

85/100

18W+18W RMS and quoted peak SPLs (review notes ~86dB practical max) make these capable in desktop rooms. Dynamics are punchy enough for nearfield listening but reviewers caution limited headroom for large rooms.
