Dan D’Agostino PROGRESSION INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
High Performance in One Component
The Progression Integrated Amplifier combines the elegance and detail retrieval of the Progression Preamplifier with the power and dynamic capability of the Progression S350 Stereo Amplifier topology, housed in a chassis the exudes the D’Agostino aesthetic. Built on a modular platform, the Progression Integrated fills every need of today’s music listener and audiophile. The analog platform provides two single-ended inputs and three balanced inputs including a theater pass-through. Balanced preamplifier outputs make for convenient addition of subwoofer(s) into a system. The Bluetooth remote control extends the usable range five times that of conventional IR remotes.
Modular Design for Maximum Flexibility
Discrete, balanced, direct-coupled circuitry is married to a substantial output stage delivering 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 400 watts per channel into4 ohms. The foundation of the Progression Integrated Amplifier is a traditional line stage integrated amplifier suitable for all analog sources except turntables. Vinyl lovers will appreciate the optional phonostage module that adds selectable moving-coil cartridge compatibility, and which can be added later. For listeners keen to incorporate digital playback within the same unit, an optional Digital Streaming Module adds a full suite of capability. Coaxial, optical, and USB physical inputs join Ethernet and wireless connectivity for in-house network and internet streaming. Digital resolution includes support for files up to DSD256and 24 bit/192K PCM accuracy. Eliminating external connections, gain stages, and additional components offers distinct sonic advantages.
Modern Technology, Classic Performance
As part of the digital module technologies, Tidal, Qobuz, and Spotify streaming subscription services are available. For use with appropriately encoded streaming music files, MQA decoding is standard. Customized apps for iOS devices provide easy control of music collections, streaming content, and unit control. The Progression Integrated is also Roon Ready for the ultimate in music management.
With the Progression Integrated Amplifier, form follows function. Because substantial power output requires proper cooling for optimal operation and long-term reliability, the Progression Integrated Amplifier is equipped with the elegantly efficient heat sinks reminiscent of the flagship Relentless Series amplifiers.
The ideal centerpiece of a modern audio system, the Progression Integrated Amplifier offers a remarkable combination of performance, modularity and aesthetics that make this the most compelling integrated amplifier available today.

Dan D'Agostino PROGRESSION INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
The Progression Integrated pairs authoritative, musical power with nimble control, making it a standout 200W-per-channel Class‑AB integrated for serious systems. Reviewers from Ken Kessler / HiFi News, Mark Gusew / StereoNET and What Hi‑Fi? highlight its combination of tight, authoritative bass, open midrange and extended, non‑fatiguing treble, together with expansive, well‑layered imaging. The modular design (optional DAC and phono boards), precision stepped attenuator, multi‑function analogue meters and hand‑finished chassis underline exceptional build and ergonomics. Ideal for listeners who want a single, high‑quality hub—powerful enough for demanding speakers yet refined for vocals and chamber music—the Progression delivers Momentum‑level refinement at a noticeably lower tier in the D'Agostino family, making it a very persuasive one‑box solution.
Pros
- Powerful, controlled dynamics and slam that drive demanding speakers without sounding strained.
- Exceptional bass definition and low‑end authority, praised as a new benchmark for integrated amplifiers by multiple reviewers.
- Wide, precise soundstage and imaging with excellent clarity and layering across complex material.
- Immaculate build, ergonomic controls and a thoughtful modular platform (optional DAC and phono modules) that extend functionality without compromising core performance.
&
Cons
- Headphone output placed on the rear panel, which reviewers found inconvenient for desktop or casual headphone use.
- Phono module settings require accessing internal dip switches (service/cover removal), making cartridge adjustments less user‑friendly.
- Optional digital and phono modules add significant cost and some control functions (streaming setup) are tied to the iOS app rather than native Android support.

Dynamics
93/100
With 200W/8Ω (400W/4Ω) Class-AB power, reviewers describe outstanding slam, grip and control—'vice-like grip', 'plenty of muscle', 'tight... without loss of harmonic texture' (Positive Feedback, Audiophilepure). Multiple comments that the amp 'never sounds stressed' and offers excellent transient authority justify an excellent dynamics score for its topology and power.
Soundstage Imaging
91/100
Across reviews the Progression is praised for wide, deep staging and precise, locked-in images ('holographic', 'crisply focused instruments', 'openness and soundstaging' — What Hi‑Fi?, StereoNET, Positive Feedback). Reviewers highlight strong layering and stability even at complex passages, supporting a very high score for imaging and spatial presentation.

Build Quality
94/100
Build is repeatedly lauded: heavy 26 kg chassis, distinctive vented heatsinks, immaculate finish, and a silky, accurate stepped attenuator volume control (StereoNET, What Hi‑Fi?). Reviewers call it a 'beast' that 'feels every bit as good to use as it looks', which supports a top-tier score for construction and fit-and-finish.
Features Connectivity
92/100
The unit offers comprehensive connectivity: 4x XLR in, 2x RCA, balanced XLR out, two binding-post speaker outputs, optional high-quality DAC module (ESS9038PRO) with USB-B/USB-A, optical, coax, Ethernet and Wi‑Fi, plus an optional phono module with extensive loading options (What Hi‑Fi?, StereoNET, Positive Feedback). Remote, iOS app control and streaming services support are provided (iOS apps only noted), and the headphone out and phono are modular—these robust but partly optional features justify a high features score.
Value for Money
94/100
Multiple reviewers frame the Progression as an exceptional offering for its position in the D'Agostino lineup—terms used include 'Bargain', 'A Momentum for the masses' and 'might be my new standard', with retail cited around $20k–$23k (Positive Feedback, Audiophilepure, HiFi News). The positive consensus that it punches above its price-to-performance relationship supports a strong value score.
